Why can't some people respect others beliefs?

You have your belief and someone may have there's. This isn't a debate - I notice anytime you don't agree with someone's beliefs they get upset. Why would you challenge someone's belief system to feel good about your decision?

I noticed this for anyone pretaining to vaccines and a particular one I won't mention. Why I only deal with like minded people who share the same beliefs as me.

I think nowadays some people that have conflicting beliefs have little to no respect for the other because they feel their different beliefs are being forced into them by the other party. I think this happens in many opposing situations For ex, if an opposing belief makes another feel that your view could harm me physically or severely mentally, than I can't respect you as a person for not caring about that.

I think this is for the more serious topics people debate about. I think it's hard to just be ok with stuff like that because we're human and by default not perfect.

People argue do to their ego. The offend because if one is not part of the club, they are seen as a threat. It's natural, but people require wisdom and self control. It is natural for people to seek and enjoy confirmation bias because it makes them feel safe. Patriotism exists everywhere.
The only reason that most people would defend their ideology is because they feel threatened, we inherited such traits from our ancestors. Just understand that the next time you find yourself in an argument, and don't think that you're any better then anybody.

Confused how my beliefs effect someone else? If you're comfortable with your belief why does it matter about my stance? I can hear someone without being judgmental. If you're that triggered or upset by what I'm saying there's no need to question it is what I say. What happened to me tonight I was asked why I believe in what I believe in... rather than accepting what I had to say this individual wanted to argue. I'm not here to pacify emotions or feelings for anyone to help you sleep at night.

Advice is separate from a mere belief. If I can help some one, I will try and maybe give them advice, and I may need to elaborate. But some folks don't want help or advice, and it is wise to leave them alone.

Because we don’t live in an era where debate skills or knowing how to be a graceful loser are particularly high on most peoples priority lists, so just like the sea on TV and in movies and then sports and Darius and sundry other forms of popular entertainment today, if they can’t win they have to clear the playing field.
