More concerned than before. This is escalating and moving in a very bad direction. Putin is obviously not rational, so how do you deal with irrationality? More and more I pin hopes on him being taken out, but I don't expect that to happen. At this point I don't see a good solution. I think the rest of the world should extend the sanctions to any country that trades with Russia - but that could backfire so it's dangerous.

The only other options are serious military escalation, or making Ukraine the sacrificial lamb. Making Ukraine the sacrificial lamb is what I expected right from the start. The world is not prepared to pay the other price. The big problem with that solution is what happens next? It won't stop with Ukraine once Russia gets a taste of getting by with it.

Having been lived during the Cold War and always being told as a child that the Russians were our enemies and we would be attacked with nuclear weapons many years ago I pretty much don’t care anymore about nuclear Armageddon or the end of the world if it happens it happens just forget about it and enjoy the days that you have. I'm not worried about it going nuclear. I am worried if republicans take the house they will shut down the government to help Russia win. There are a lot of possible explanations for why Republicans would do this but the simplest one, and thus the one is subscribe to, is because they want authoritarianism to be the global standard.
