+1 yMore concerned than before. This is escalating and moving in a very bad direction. Putin is obviously not rational, so how do you deal with irrationality? More and more I pin hopes on him being taken out, but I don't expect that to happen. At this point I don't see a good solution. I think the rest of the world should extend the sanctions to any country that trades with Russia - but that could backfire so it's dangerous.
The only other options are serious military escalation, or making Ukraine the sacrificial lamb. Making Ukraine the sacrificial lamb is what I expected right from the start. The world is not prepared to pay the other price. The big problem with that solution is what happens next? It won't stop with Ukraine once Russia gets a taste of getting by with it.

+1 yHaving been lived during the Cold War and always being told as a child that the Russians were our enemies and we would be attacked with nuclear weapons many years ago I pretty much don’t care anymore about nuclear Armageddon or the end of the world if it happens it happens just forget about it and enjoy the days that you have. Life is too short to worry about major things that you have no control over just like you got these people who always worry about global warming climate change astroid impacts comet impacts things that you can’t control. live your life turn off the television turn off the Internet and live your life

6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I'm not worried about it going nuclear. I am worried if republicans take the house they will shut down the government to help Russia win. There are a lot of possible explanations for why Republicans would do this but the simplest one, and thus the one is subscribe to, is because they want authoritarianism to be the global standard.

Authoritarianism? Like covid policies were eh? Wait that was mainly democrats and liberals. who wants to control the internet and speech? Mainly Democrats and liberals. It's not authoritarianism when we do it-democrats
- +1 y
There was no common sense in those stupid covid policies, and I bet you're one of those liberals that still don't know how deadly covid is by age group, and what the percentage of covid deaths that were with pre existing health conditions. Imagine having to include people who died with covid and not as a result of covid in the death count and count people who were hospitalized with covid but not as a result of covid in the covid hospitalization numbers. (Admitted by Fauci himself on camera).
States that had little to no covid policies did just as good as the libtard states. When Texas was doing better than democrat states Fauci said it was because people in Texas were following recommendations while those in lockdown states were not following the rules. Yeah like those anti masker conservatives were following the rules, and if people in lockdowns were not following the rules why make them?
Imagine going after people's jobs over a cold virus, the vaccine protects you right? And also Vaxxed people spread the virus too, so why force a vax on people that don't need it? People who have already caught covid don't need a vax because they have acquired stronger immunity from the virus than by a weaker version of the virus in the vaccine. So why should they get the vax and have their jobs threatened? Lots of common sense eh?
Some people who didn't need the vax died as a result of it or were injured because of it.
Common sense policy is if you're scare you stay home, you mind your own buisiness and if you want to partake in society you need to take the risk of being infected with a cold virus that is fk n harmless to almost everyone.
I never called it fascism, I called it communism, for manipulating the world economy for Klaus Schwab's plan for the great reset and build back better globalist economic agendas. - +1 y
Left wing authoritarianism is not fascism its communism. Conservatives who call authoritarian liberals ''fascist'' are dumb.

Fake news? you mean when Cnn is behind a burning building and calls the floyd riots mostly peaceful protests? lol.
Back to Covid polices, imagine shutting down and ruining people's businesses for covid, what business do you have controlling people's businesses and the people who want to use that service, people take their own risks when they go out. Making up the term ''pandemic of the unvaccinated'' where a bunch of healthy people that don't need the vax catch covid and are fine after but dems make more lockdowns and restrictions due to it. You have the audacity to call those policies common sense. ''Remember it's not authoritarian when we do it, and we are the ones that are for freedom''-Democrat
Did liberals vote for Joe Biden based on merit? Republicans are smart enough to vote for a right wing populist instead of a liberal pretending to be a conservative that serves a globalist agenda. How's the economy doing now do to all those covid policies and the U. S/Nato instigated proxy war in Ukraine? Add some carbon tax because cLiMatE cHaNge, sanction Russian gas but cancel pipelines, oh yeah libtards sure are smart and good for the economy. - +1 y
Shutting down and ruining people's businesses over a little flu. Yeah, some real common sense there.

Yeah, CNN is a good example of fake news. Their insistence on bothsidesism even as republicans actively cause every problem they complain about, sabotage solutions democrats come up with, and then dumping millions of dollars into media empires so they just say it is also if not entirely democrats fault is pretty common. I don't know how the far right fake news has managed to trick its viewers into thinking CNN is some bastion of liberal idealism when all it is is Colmes from the show Hannity and Colmes, but a whole media empire dedicated to being the far right's handy straw man any time they need a fake liberal to prop up their imaginary narratives by pretending to fit what they claim is happening. Would be cooler if you stopped falling for it, but then they have devoted quite a lot of time and resources to such tricks, because they know no one is stupid enough to vote republican based on merit..

Trump deserved to win because he talked against the disastrous U. S warmongering interventionist foreign policy, he flip flopped but got back on track in the end like he talked about when he was running. Talking about merit, Desantis would get my vote based on MERIT over that fake conservative Mitt Romney if he ran for president as would any real conservative. Libtards should not talk about merit they are all for checking diversity boxes instead of picking the qualified people for the job.

12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It's largely a joke - not a war.
Mainly as it's the excuse the West has come up with to justify it's stagnation, As well as hide its attempt to steal from Russia and Ukraine. Now that it can't steal from Afghanistan and Iraq to makeup it's shortfalls like it used to.

+1 yI'm more concerned about keeping the lights and heating on this winter, gasing my car up to get to work, and the looming food crisis though most of my fellow Americans could do with missing a few meals, also rising inflation and more federal taxes.
00 Reply669 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Not very and not really. As horrible as it sounds I see it as more of a sham than a real war.
That is not to say that the suffering is not real or that the crimes committed are not real.
Its just that in my eyes it came at a highly opportune moment, is playing out as if someone is trying to recreate the sentiments lf George Orwell's 1984 and has had too one-sided beneficiaries. Of course if nukes start to go off I'll eat those words very quick, assuming I survive.00 Reply2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No I don't worry about nuclear war. I just want the western powers to give enough weapons and equipment to Ukraine to smash the red army once and for all and let that shithole russia eat itself as it plunges into more poverty, corruption and chaos. Enough with their neo communist eurasian empire that plagues Europe for hundreds of years.
