How do you feel about the Russian Ukraine war?

There is one off thing about the 2022 Russian Ukraine war is for once I’ve seen both liberals and conservatives mostly agree that the invasion was unjustifiable.

However there is also a debate if Putin would of even invaded in the first place if Trump was still in office and Biden didn’t pull American forces out of Afghanistan.

But just when it comes to the war itself where do you stand? I personally support Ukraine.

Push comes to shove I am on Russia's side, not because I think Putin is a great guy or because I think invading countries and starting wars is cool but because the west is the aggressor here as it has been for decades all around the world.

Putin is the only one who stands up to our bullshit and when Russia falls and they will because they cannot defeat US military tech it won't be long before America is starting a war with China, this will be WWIII and even if that doesn't turn out to be the end of all life on Earth there will be no external power capable of moderating US behaviour.

This would probably be fine if the US and the west in general really were democracies with functioning governments but that is not the case, we are ruled by a mafia of psychopathic criminals and with robotics and AI just around the corner it is not going to be long before the pretense of society and civilisation is no longer a requirement for the rich and powerful and they will simply remove the last threats to the power permenantly.

Make no mistake, we are looking at an end game situation here in the class war which has been raging for thousands of years, either we defeat these criminals who rule us from the shadows or the humanity will be hopelessly lost forever.

And here is the problem, you, op, are something close to being someone who is politically engaged and yet the sum of your reach is to mindlessly repeat what your television told you to say.

I think it's dumb and someone in Russia should just have the balls to kill Putin and save the Russian people a lot of death and hardship for his idiotic mistake. This war is also affecting the European economy (though they were dumb to rely on Russia so easily to begin with, especially those idiots in Germany), raising gas prices, and worse of all, hurting innocent Ukrainian and Russian civilians in the process.

Putin won't win against Ukraine. Him winning would set a bad precedent for China (against Taiwan), North Korea (against South Korea), Iran, Saudi Arabia, and every other sh*thole country out there. The rest of the world knows this, so they WON'T let Putin overtake Ukraine, even if they're too cowardly to directly get involved themselves.

As for myself? I'm just so sick of individual DUMBASSES, f*cking over millions of people. I can't even blame Biden, cause everyone who isn't an idiot knows Biden has no power, but more so, I'm talking about Kim Jong in North Korea, Jinping in China, and Putin himself. It is easy for Mr. Trump to claim this since Russia in invaded Crimea under Mr. Obama, did not attack (but did consolidate in Crimea) while Mr. Trump was in office, and then invaded with Mr. Biden in office. I tend to think that had Mr. Trump been re-elected, Putin still would have invaded because it fit his timeline but maybe I am wrong. Either way, Putin seriously underestimated the resolve of the people of Ukraine while completely overestimated the capabilities of his generals. They seem to have universally been inept as both strategists and tacticians. Something as simple as leaving a clear supply lane open is obvious to even rudimentary strategy game players, yet the Russian Brass completely failed there.

Biden didn’t have to execute the pull out the way he did. He was told that the afghan army wouldn’t last 6 months if the US forces pulled out (they would of lost all air support). It took less than a month for the Taliban to take over.

It’s true we spent a ton of money in Afghan war. But it was a very low level conflict in the final years. We had a skeletal force there and we should of left that there indefinitely for stability. It wasn’t costing us much money at that point and the United States keeps military stations around the world to prevent calamities from happening.

But Biden didn’t care. No common sense up there (as if much is going on in his senile decrepit brain anyway). He just wanted the headline and he got it. It’s no coincidence that his approval numbers fell off a cliff after that happened.

by the way if Trump stayed in office and he executed the Afghanistan pull out the way Biden did I would criticize him the same way I am criticizing Biden. But that huge fuck up demonstrated fecklessness on the world stage. And I truly Putin would of not invaded the Ukraine if Trump was still in office. Our economy would be way better of too but Trump wouldn’t of pushed through trillions of dollars of completely unnecessary spending.

The wars and genocide that happened in Africa are not something to be ignored. But do these terrorist groups have nuclear weapons? Even if they did have they ever used them or threatened to use them? If that happened western countries would definitely get involved.

Russia is actively threatening to use nukes. Ukraine is rich in natural resources that the rest of the world depends on. They are considered the breadbasket of Europe considering their grain exports.

Putin had zero justification to invade. This is also part of his longer term plan to restart the Soviet Union and align with Iran and China who are geopolitical enemies of the United States.
