Should women be required to get hysterectomies or tubal ligations?

We have alternatives. Or rather, women have alternatives. Men have, like, 2. And when we do research into other male contraceptive options they aren't met with a lot of support. Like the male birth control pill research leading to a few suicides and the media laughing it off as "oh boo hoo men can't handle mood swings." Like no. A couple of dudes literally killed themselves.

But also, women take contraceptives for a load of other reasons besides just contraception, while men's pill would be exclusive to contraception.

Also, we need to stop saying vasectomies are reversible. They CAN be a plurality of the time with the right procedure.

The best option I had been following was RISUG. Basically a couple injections to the site, and it's 100% effective for like 10 years. Reversible at any time with the same procedure. I know it was rising in India but it seemed like there was some controversy surrounding it later.

But also like FFS we can debate all this at the same time we're codifying RvW into law. These supposed "pro-life" trigger laws might as well have been written by Al-Qaeda themselves.

In fact, part of me hopes they bring back the whole "sex strike" thing. Because the only ones that will be largely affected by the strike are those who call themselves "pro-choice," effectively doing pro-lifers a solid favor.

I don’t think it needs to go that far, but it should be an available choice, just as women should be allowed the choice to have tubal ligations or removals.

No, just because women are denied an optional surgery does not mean men should have a surgery forced upon them. You can go get it yourself if you wish to.
