Are you open minded?

I thought god was real for the longest time
Now I know he isn’t.
I denied your question, but I basically said how *I changed my mind.* That’s being broad minded. It required open mindedness to consider the direct opposite.
If I give an exact example as this question demands, I would be giving away my *character* to be swayed.
I say my beliefs and NEVER disown it. I consider what others say to me, even if I go as far as to HATE it.
For me to say it’s possible I’m wrong is not being open minded, but unsure
thats Uncertainty. That’s low confidence.
Thats a person changing their mind in a second or lying to who they are, for the sake of this question excerpt (no offense to you; I merely address the words and the image).
I am not changing my mind about the things I feel strongly about because I’ve already considered them.
I am the perfect balance of hard headed and open minded.
I would tell you to feel free to disagree about my last statement, and I’d disagree with any opposing statements, only until I saw one with reason and logic- then I’d consider it as an open minded person.
There are many instances where I tell people I care for what I think the logic is to their situations and topics in life- “I think this, but I may be wrong, so don’t take my word for it.”
Or
“I think this, but it applies to me, so it may be different for you.”
Now that I’ve considered what I have said above, I WILL provide another example to better fit the question.
I think oxygen is actually what ages us and kills us, but I could be wrong.
I wouldn’t mind it either, but I really do believe that.
Haha! You’re definitely not open minded, at all. You literally provided several perfect examples of being closed minded while believing that you’re open minded. Just like most people do. Ell oh ell!
You started with a major faux pas for the open minded, claiming to “know” something that not only hasn’t been proven, but it can’t be proven. Ell oh ell!
Lol I have no idea what you’re saying but the first sentence yes I am open minded and hard headed. I solidify what I know until someone tells me something impressive otherwise to believe.
I considered my own reasoning and ended up giving an answer as you called/ asked for.
Maybe you missed that…
Yeah what was that?
Ell oh ell!
Lmfaoo
That's just a test for whether or not you've made up your mind on something 😂
But it is a pretty interesting way to talk about spirituality and how science might come full circle from its roots in philosophy and accidentally prove there is something greater than us.
Like how the Bible predicted many scientific discoveries but some of the stories are borrowed from other religions but kosher eating to this day is proving to be a pretty good hard and fast set of rules to eating healthy as possible but the Bible says God is everything and everywhere and when scientists wanted to find out what atoms are made of, they found out that everything is just made up of vibrating energy and so it's not wrong at all to say that everything is one and may be connected at any given moment but there's also good reasons to believe we're in a simulation like how certain aspects of our models for how physics work are still incomplete, we don't really know what gravity is or why so many dead ends in physics lead back to the cosmological constant.
You could argue that these dead ends which lead back to certain numbers which show up in nature all the time are like the settings which the simulation had to be set to or the conditions that God had to make or that nature had to just happen to fall on for the exact amount of matter to be in our universe so that chemicals could interact in such a way that our bodies function and atoms function the way they do.
There is equal room for all points to be made.
You don’t understand the assignment if you think holding two opposing ideas as equally true is a failure to “make up your mind”. And a sure sign that you’re not open minded.
Oh really? A sure sign? Did you read the comment or just stop at the beginning?
I consider myself to be open minded, but I obviously have a different definition of open minded than you do. Having a view, even a strong unwavering view, does not mean you are closed minded.
"Then express an OPPOSING thought or idea that YOU recognize and agree could be equally valid to your own conviction."
Already been there and done that. It's rare for me to hear new arguments. So there's not much new to consider. It's not closed minded to reject something that you've already considered a thousand times.
Hahahaha! Of course you consider yourself to be open minded. Most people do. Unfortunately you resorted to hyperbole to “prove” that you’re open minded where you’re clearly closed minded. You also inferred omniscience, as though you’ve heard everything there is to hear and know everything there is to know on ideas to which you have decided to hold firm. Ell oh ell! Also, considering new information and entertaining new ideas isn’t inherently antagonistic. The thought that every new piece of information you collect is the start of an “argument” is an insurmountable obstacle to open mindedness.
You are just making shit up. I didn't expect you to agree though.

Yes. You have to be about almost everything.
Being closed minded in life leads you to being stuck and in a position of not wanting to be corrected or learn from others.
No one here is God nor does anyone have all the correct answers to life's complexities.
Well, understanding the value of being open minded isn’t the savage as being open minded. Indeed, i’m fairly certain most people are absolutely convinced that they are open minded while demonstrating that they clearly are not. Can you provide examples of your open mindedness?
For ex: Being open minded about a new idea how to fix a certain situation in the modern-day era compared how it was traditionally done because now we have better technology and information.
You have to be willing to listen and be open minded lest you become full of ish in your twisted bubble and can't be corrected or admonish anymore and stay a fool.
Do as you wish, leave me out of it.
Like that?
That’ll do. Ell oh ell!
You know my first girlfriend used to use that word a lot
Open minded or say stuff like the most powerful sexual organ is your brain
it was like her way of building up to asking to play with my butt
I am towards most things, but not everything.
I used to be open minded. Now I'm too old and experianced to keep it open. My intellect has allready discerened certain patterns in order to avoid previous trauma and so I became judgmental.
No it's a sin to be open minded. That's how you get liberalism and depravity.
That’s no life for me and you after death,
Is that your opinion, or the opposing opinion you consider might be equally valid?
It is not one of my attributes.
…. meh
Actually… Yes. Very much. You’ll see. It might be a decade but eh, stay tuned I guess
