Because Russia is right next to Asian descent people (as well as being in the continent of Asia), so naturally there's going to be overlap? And because nationality and ethnicity isn't the same thing? There are Asian Americans and Asian Canadians too, you know?
The Mongols invaded and conquered 100% of Russia and ruled them for 240 years. It's amazing how few people in the west seem to know this but if you watch some Russian films about past times it comes up. Mongols are one of the 56th recognized ethnic groups in China today. You can imagine that the Mongos took the hottest Russian women and did whatever they wanted/marrying, enslaving and so on. Lots of babies made. Do the math.
It's like asking why are there a lot of Caucasian looking people in Mexico & South America. Same math.
Side note: I grew up around a LOT of Asians. To me your example pictures don't even look Asian but I've seen Russians who look Asian to me or like they have a lot of Asian blood.

What is referred to as "Russia" is an area the borders of which were defined by men. It's a vast expanse that stretches from Eastern Europe all the way to Kamchatka, which is east of Japan. It stretches past China and Mongolia to their north. There are indiginous peoples in many areas of Russia in places that are truly Asian as much of Russia IS in Asia. Simply put, many Russians ARE Asian because much of Russia is actually IN Asia.
When I was in China, many years ago at this point... my first question was why there were white people on the money. I know jack shit about their history, but Russia is right there. I do know when the borders went up, some of those Raindeer herders got stuck on one side and some on the other.
If you look at Sami people over there next to the Nordic countries and you'll notice the same thing. Those Viking people traded with them and I'm sure they mixed here and there.
There are Russians who look Asian period. I have meet Russians who look flat-out Asian. But they identify as being Russian 100%. They speak Russian and identify as being Russian.

The concept of race is not stupid. The Russians who look Asians as you're referring to refer to themselves as Russian by Nationality and not by race. An ethnic Russian is European/white. Some Russians have mixed ancestry, so some white Russians may look a little bit Asian because they had an east Asian ancestor. Russia has been invaded by Turkish and Mongolian people (east Asians) often throughout history which explains why some white Russians sometimes look different to other European people on top of having many Asian countries near-by such as Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and China. Also indigenous Siberian people are ethnic Asians and are related to native Americans.

Why on earth are raciologists claiming that American Indians who are clearly their descendants, are of a different race. To say nothing that humans first evolved in Africa. At what point is there sufficient objective evidence to claim that a group of people have reached the point where they can be considered a race.
There is no such standard. There is only the standard of a raciologist telling us what they think they see when they look at people.

So let me show you a photo of one of these ethnic groups. A famous singer I have loved for years. Her nationality is Ukrainian. She speaks Russian but her ethnicity is Tatar.

A Tatar is a member of a Turkic people living in Tatarstan and various other parts of Russia and Ukraine. They are the descendants of the Tartars who ruled central Asia in the 14th century.

Because it is a huge, huge, huge country that spans 11 time zones with peoples from all over. A lot of the far eastern part of the country is in the far east. They share a border with China.

Eastern Russian does cover quite a bit of East Asia north of China and Mongolia so people in that region are going to look either Chinese or Mongolian.
