My roommate eats like a cow?!

Is it really that hard to chew with your mouth closed so people around you don't have to hear/see what it is you are eating. Most people don't care to see what food looks like mid-chewing process.

Having to listen to someone smack their food and hear all the sounds of someone eating has always annoyed the hell outta me. I don't know why.

I eat like a cow when I'm around my family and good friends because they don't judge me :p but when I'm around certain people who I don't know that well or strangers I close my mouth.I only eat like a cow at my house or at my friends house.One of my good friends hates it when I smack my gum but I just can't help it,its hard to.When people around me smack their food,it doesn't bother me but I did get where your coming from.

It is hard if he or she have braces or if they have some mouth conditions.

Next time post a rule "do not eat like a cow" around the hall, lol. Just joking, tell him/her nicely to eat properly. if not request to move him/her out with the warden or request that he/she eat outside not in front of you.

that's a huge pet peeve of mine. you can politely bring it up, if you feel comfortable, but a lot of the time, you just have to ignore it as best as you can.

It's very annoying, I agree. Noone told them how to eat in a decent way, nor they felt like learning. You can politely direct him/her.
