Do you believe that people rely too much on the government to solve their problems? Why or why not?

There are so many different life situations with different dynamics involving different people at different life stages, with different family situations, living in different parts of the country, with different health/physical capabilities, etc etc etc... but also worth mentioning with different *luck* in life.

So my opinion is that lots of people need a helping hand, and plenty of those people don't have someone nearby to give it to them, so there are federal programs intended to help those people get back on their feet, long enough to find solid footing, and then they're successful on their own & contribute to this system themselves.

But but but but yeah... there are lots of people who will always take advantage of these programs and the overall *system*. Welp, that's life. Not helping all those who need it would be a huge drag on overall society, which hurts all of us. Or to say it the other way, the better off everyone in society is around us, the better it is for everyone. So yeah peeps will take advantage of the system, and hopefully there are reasonable safe guards in place to check that, but don't throw the baby out with that bath water.

Yes, it has been a problem for far to long in the US and its been a problem for the rest of the world forever.

Relaying on the Government gives the power over you and everything else to the point were you are slaves to them and they decide whats best for you.

The US was founded under having limited Government, but per usual there are people that think government is the answer to everything and now we are getting to the point were federal government is overreaching and so are the State government.

Yes, this is how Oligarchy and dictatorship happens, because throughout history the people would rather live not worrying about anything and put all of the important decisions into the powers that be.. The government needs to do this, the government needs to do that.. Before you know the government is telling you what you need to do.

Why that is so is a mystery to all capable students of logic.

No. I think humans are compassion-less sacks of shit that we would watch people in need on the side of the road and not bat an eye. I’ve been in that boat. I try to make it a point to help, if someone is in need of food I’ll buy them food, or try to get them something they need. However, I don’t have the resources to sustain that. The government does. But they don’t give a shit.

Back when we had a government they were there to advise and give you the tools needed for what you were doing plus we handled our own problems and didn't have idiots going around shooting people or trying to refund the police I believe everyone is going soft the government needs to advise not try and take over
