Why are fangirls often obsessive over male celebrities, while fanboys aren't that obsessive over female celebrities?

Fangirls will often go crazy over male celebrities and act like they are married to them or something. I've seen fangirls who will literally fight each other over Justin Bieber or Zac Efron, saying "He's mine!" and acting like they own the celebrity who doesn't even know who they are. I know of a fangirl who photoshops pictures of herself next to her actor celebrity crush so it looks like they're a couple and uploads it to instagram, then sends him the photoshopped pictures by dm every day until the day he eventually notices her.

Fanboys on the other hand seem to often retain their sanity. Maybe they might have posters of a women on their walls, but they're generally less obsessive. Why are a lot of fangirls like this while fanboys keep it straight?

Because men and women are attracted to each other for different reasons.

Women are attracted to men due to man's status and what he can theoretically provide for her -- social status, money, property, fame, even kickstart her own career etc., thus women can easily go insane in a competition to get that high-valued man (fighting each other, sending him nudes [which is woman's only currency], screeching like a banshee when she sees him, stalk him, even trying to steal his used condoms with his sperm [hence why NBA players are taught to tie up their used condoms and take them back home with them!] to impregnate themselves for financial value etc.), and even delude themselves to a point where they *think* they legit own him.

Men, however, are only attracted to young women because of desire to have sex (if you don't agree with me, go ahead and find, say, Oprah's or Ayn Rand's simp). However, guys tend to be more logical and realistic, thus they typically have enough common sense remaining to comprehend that they're significantly lower than that woman in status and women don't date "down", they only date "up". Thus guys tend to keep their reality in check and simply quietly jerk off to that celebrity to get off sexual tension and temporarily get her out of his head (because of temporary sexual satisfaction, as this is what he wants from her; a woman simping for a celebrity is never satisfied and can't get a man out of her head because what she wants are materialistic things).

Now, some may go and say "b-b-but what about those male stalkers and shit?". True, however, they're so insignificant in numbers they're basically invisible, thus making them an exception to a rule. While amount of women going absolutely batshit insane over a male celebrity can be seen at any damn concert.

Some women have less control over their emotions and are more likely to cry when they see a celebrity or react in some way than most males. It's just how we process our emotions differently.

However, I definitely do have my celebrity crushes, and I have attempted to interact with a few of them on Instagram before. If I get attention from one it feels very validating, but if I get no reaction I just leave them alone.

I think it might be because women are more sexually competitive than men. When they have a crush, they might be more inclined to obsess about them and compete with other women for the attention of the crush. It might be that. Usually "fangirls" are young, though. So it might also be an age thing.
