Why do most females all through there 20's go crazy for male popstars & athletes but most male fans could care less?

What is the evolutionary reason for this phenomena - it's not exactly one or two female fans but almost 80-90%+ sometimes at many of these concerts with Justin Bieber or Travis Scott or Harry Styles - but I'm thinking of rolling stones concerts in the 80's or elvis concerts in the 50's - or harry styles and beatles concerts in the modern age - females across a wide age range of 15 - 35 are passing out from emotional overload en mass it seems at some of these venues.

When we see shakira or beyonce or rihanna - or arianna grande - who many males and females also go to their concerts and each of these singers are absolute 10/10's by any males standards globally - certainly an extremely negligible few males may get giddy if near but its nothing like the female groupies for male rock stars and athletes.

Even with female athletes I dont really see this being the case either even amongst males who also love sports which they may have a lot in common with.

I guess I'm just curious why females get so aggressive as groupies for male athletes and rockstars but it seems extremely rare that most males would ever care or not to be a groupie to a female rockstar (not that I would object if rihanna gave me a ring! - but I wouldn't exactly tearing up and passing out from emotional overload is all - (she's just a person like 7 billion others) - why is that? What is the reason for all this emotional overload and aggressive pursuance of male celebrities from females but not the other way around?

I am a male and I do not understand this persepctive - hoping to gain some incite more from females as to why most females may do this.

They don't and it's one of those "1 million Frenchmen" fallacies, that marketers use.

All to make popstars and celebrities look popular by asserting they are popular and underdeveloped mind take it as gospel.

Before you know it, you're in a groupthink and think you're enjoying yourself.

That makes sense - it may be that because we think everyone else is going nuts for these people - and thats how we're told we're suppose to act that a lot of people do as markers tell us we should. I never though of it that way before. It may not actually be the case as much in reality as they present in the tabloids.

But I'm curious still why we don't hear this phenomena happening to males much at all (not that it never does but its very few and far between if it does occur a small amount - relative to female reactions around celebrities I think its still fair to say based on my own observations at one or two concerts I've been to including U2 and Black eyed peas.

Because male popstars have all the qualities and traits women find irresistible in men, regardless of their careers... money, status, confidence, charisma. And they know all women want those men, and women are drawn to men that are either taken or wanted by other women.

Men are attracted to very different things in women... kindness, nurturing nature, modesty, etc. The last thing a man wants is a provider and protector.

I can see that making sense. Evolutionary speaking (which is what we may still wired to be more attracted to even though it doesn't make as much sense in todays time) females want a mate who can produce resources keep her and offspring healthy and is well liked by rest of tribe in case resources get scarce. Rockstars present all these things x10,000 to females all at once. The appeal makes sense.

I suppose a male is less concerned about these thing (as a caveman would be wired to seek out someone who is a healthy mate above all else to maximize children as the main goal). So female rockstars may, or may not present this depending on the singer.

Different genders may be most attracted to different complimentary traits to their own it seems may account for some of the differences.

I don't get it. I have always hated most pop stars. To me, pop music stopped being interesting in the early 70s.

I'm very in agreeance with that. It seems most pop music is simple and just plahorized off other already created music nowadays without anything new added - an example is miley cyrus new song buy me some flowers which is almost an exact plagarized copy of bruno mars - if I could be your man - almost word for word too. Beyond lazy writing for quick and easy money (until miley gets sued for it)

Pop music is not about musicians anymore, it is all made on computers. There are many YouTube videos explaining how modern pop music is made, and it is sad what they get away with these days. There is zero talent involved in it.

I've been boy crazy since i was like age 3. So i’ll go crazy over any dude i find attractive 😂 but its more so internally or just fangirling verbally like “Omg he's hot!”. Anytime i’ve met a celeb in person, I’m screaming internally but not about to scream out loud for some dude that millions of others are running towards. Its not worth it
