Why do people treat each other like such garbage?

If a man expresses frustration with women, he’s called an “incel.” If a woman expresses frustration with men, she’s called a “femcel.” If a man sticks up for women, he’s called a “simp”, if a woman sticks up for men, she’s called a “pick me.” I just don’t get why we all have to be so cruel to each other
