overall yes. there's never been a time throughout history where men and women were ever this divided until now. naturally people will disrespect you if you let them disrespect you.

double standards from feminism also further increase the disrespect men and women have towards one another. a man who displays masculinity is toxic but a man who doesn't stand up for himself and his masculinity is a coward who is to be disrespected and emasculated by a woman, if she is made to face her consequences of disrespect, he's also not a "real man" due to his "fragile masculinity". it's things like this, that lower a men's respect for women. having power and authority but no responsibility or accountability.

point is, disrespect is cyclical in nature. respect can only be earned. sometimes people don't even get the bare minimum baseline level of respect because of their looks, race, height, disabilities, lack finances, resources etc. fixing this is gonna take time but it's a possibility none of us on this site in our lifetime will ever see a world where men and women truly respect one another again.

It's the old "wag the dog" strategy. A government, an interest group, a whomever tells you, look over here, this group hates you and in turn, you should probably hate them for hating you. You start to believe it, and then you're angry and you don't know why. Meanwhile that entity is doing something way worse but everyone around them is so caught up in fictionalized chaos to even see what's happening until it's too late. I had a situation like this at work and when I confronted someone about it, they told me, we heard, you all said this that the other. It was nuts because we never did...but you see the source and you see the manipulation, and it's worked. There was some negativity in the above post. Of course I wish things were different than how they are for me right now.

However this is my observation.

Before all the “woman’s liberation” of the 60s it was generally well known that if a man approached a woman and courted her the ultimate goal was marriage, then sex and family.

But generally most women no longer care as much about the taboo about having sex early and casually. with men. A part of them still doesn’t like it but the guilt element has all been removed in the modern world. Men being instinctive will happily oblige them (although this really isn’t good for the man either in the long run).

So single women try to “piece meal” the so called perfect man when they get approached. They will take quick sex from the attractive asshole for the rush and getting their needs met. Then they think they can friéndzone and keep around a nice guy “orbiter” to get their emotional needs met while still banging the asshole on the side. The nice guy gets the raw end of a deal on this big time. Although he tried to do best by the woman he gets exploited for free counseling, attention, favors, etc. The asshole gets laid while putting in minimal effort. The single woman’s ultimate dream is to create a “perfect man” by having both of these guys around her. The best of both worlds.

However this was way less possible prior to the 60s. The vast majority of men wouldn’t waste their time around a taken, engaged or married woman. Both the man and woman knew back then that dating would most likely end in marriage.

But I was always extremely careful when it came to birth control (too the point of being paranoid). Reason being is if I got a girl pregnant I would take responsibility. Abortion is NOT a “contraceptive”. Not a safety net. People use it as an excuse to be reckless.

Again I am all for contraceptives. I think there should be more investment for contraceptive R&D. Make unplanned pregnancies a thing of the past. Also if you are dead set on never having kids then just get sterilized to avoid problems. Quit using abortion as a guilt free back up plan.

No woman needs anyone permission to do what she wants to do, really. I could have one right now and no one would ever know. I’m 38 and I don’t have kids and we’re enjoying life as is. If I got pregnant I’d keep the pregnancy and be a mom but I’d wouldn’t be traditional mom. However, I didn’t always feel that way. I can’t speak for other women but I’m glad my life and marriage is the way it is now and not the way our grandmothers was. Whether or not you are bright enough to see it, there is a gender war under way in the West that is pitting women and men against each other and it has created a divide between the sexes that gets deeper and wider every day.
