That's mainly just conspiracy theorists. The reasonable people are only saying it might have been rigged in CERTAIN states. Like we all have to admit that in the past 2 years, Arizona and a couple other states have been SUPER sketchy. And democrats happened to win those sketchy states, so it leads to people being suspicious.

Also keep in mind that completely trusting our government is foolish, so we all have to find a way to reconcile that fact with our inability to ourselves 100% verify all election results are accurate. I wish I had the answer.

The main reason I don't think rigged elections are something we should worry about is because ALL elections are rigged to some extent. Politicans get money from all kinds of constituents, many of whom are from other countries and have no business meddling in our elections. They get money from criminals too, which isn't shocking since many corporations are run at least in parr by criminals and many politicians are criminals. Add to that how gerrymandering works, and you realize we never have election's that aren't rigged to some extent. It was really bad in the decades leading up to Teddy Roosevelt, and he broke up the corruption, but it likely only lasted about a decade after his final term ended. Until we enforce term limits, decrease the pay of senators and representatives, and enact some other policies, corruption will continue. Anyway, I'm saying that the current complaint of many Republicans about the elections being rigged for Democrats is silly because all elections are rigged at least a little bit. Bith sides cheat, so how do we know who cheated more? lmao We don't. And it seems we have to live with it.

Those same states took a long time to count the votes right? Different states have different methods, and the same states that were slow last time are slow now... that's because the method they use is slow... every time... states rights... right?

The first problem we run into is that no one can actually get proof. Really think about that, man. If something were going on, how the hell is anyone supposed to find, spread, and verify it? Exactly. It can't be done.

But either way, you know it's fucking sketchy that Arizona'd machines broke during the presidential race AND during this one too, so they had to switch to other methods both times. You know damn well that they are either sketchy or fucking incompetent. Either way, it's not what I'd call good.

You misunderstand. I mean we can never prove if Clinton, Bush, Obama, etc. actually won their elections. Know what I mean? So while most elections end up being what most Americans want, it's still eery to think about how we never REALLY know for sure, you know?

Well if it's just how those states function, they need to get their shit together and make the machines work so they can count results because Christmas. That's all I'm saying. They won't have as many people suspicious if they would take care of shit.

Dems have been rigging elections for years now. They started by make it easier for earlier voters. It has been shown that more Dems use early voting than go to the polls on election day than do Republicans. It is also been shown in states where they allow mail in voting to be done after election day that the Dems get more votes too. The Dems have had the laws passed in those states to allow this and they win more votes by doing so. If you had to go vote at the polls on election day the Dems would not have the votes that they get now. CNN talked about this during the past election coverage and the days to follow as they were still counting votes days after the election.

Actually Democrats have been in power for many years over the past 30 years and during that time in power we don't have single payer healthcare (even though that's a disaster in every other country that has it), we don't have clean water, we have completely one-sided news that reports how we're supposed to think rather than just the news, and we're not even close to solar cars or any other type of alternative energy. We have electric cars that cost too much for people to buy and use more energy in coal used to create the electricity than gasoline engines use. So how would giving them even more power help?

There is plenty of evidence of cheating for anyone willing to look. However, since the minority parties (Green, Libertarian, etc.) are not viable, I don't see that it really matters and it will not matter until there is a second viable party instead only one viable party as is currently the case.

In any event, cheating can only occur when the actual voting is near equal. And, that is almost always the case. It would be difficult, to impossible, for less then 40% to win a national election regardless of how much the actual minority was willing to cheat.

There is evidence. However, it doesn't matter. Just as it doesn't matter which side of a coin you look it, it is still the same coin. It doesn't matter whether republicans or democrats are elected because they are the same party and typically vote alike. Most people think they are different because they talk a different talk and people listen to what they say and pay little or no attention to how they vote.

The Dems rig it either way. If Republicans win, it's just because enough people have sense to not believe all the BS the Democrats spout.

We have no democracy in this country. Democracy depends on an informed populace. You can't have an informed populace when the information stream is so one-sided.

Media is television, including news, prime time, daytime soaps, talk shows, etc. It's newspapers. It's radio. It's the music industry. It's anything Hollywood. It's news magazines. Its video games. It's artists. It's children's programming.

This isn't opinion. Different professions tend to attract different types of people. The entertainment industry, news industry and performing artists have a strong tendency to attract liberals.

How long did you have to search to find that? I call BS.

Or maybe you think teaching children that LGBT is OK is unbiased? Or maybe you think that virtually every prime time television show is unbiased? How about night time talk shows and their hosts? How about news magazines that select a tranny as "woman of the year" is unbiased? Or maybe you think that video games showing two gays getting it on is unbiased? Or maybe you think that 90% of politically themed songs being liberal is unbiased?

Even a lot of liberals admit that the media is liberal. For a long time I couldn't figure out why some liberals deny it. I finally decided that it's because liberalism doesn't stand out to liberals. It goes unnoticed. But it sticks out like a sore thumb to a conservative.

Seriously. The media is completely inundated with liberal BS.

The election was likely rigged regardless of whom wins its just a question of where, and by how much it was rigged.

There is no good way to be sure that a ballot which was mailed in was ever casts by the voter to which it was assigned. This completely defeats the security of voter ID and places unconditional faith in an enormously complex distribution and processing system that can't be seen.

A system we know for a fact is non-insecure-able on just the regularity with which we end up with other people's mail alone.

How often do you receive someone else's mail? It's happened to me 1 time in about the last 10 years. During that time I've probably received around 100,000 pieces of mail correctly sent. That's an error rate of 1:100,000.

In the extremely unlikely event I was sent someone else's ballot, I'd be commiting a felony if I cast it. I have to know and fill in their personal info and forge their signature. For what, one vote? Who the hell would risk that even if they could?

@holdem4884 even if you do receive someone else’s ballot, you have to fill out your correct info and then mail it back. So A) if the info ain’t correct like soc sec etc, ain’t counted. p and B) that person gets a 5-10 in federal prison for voter fraud. Why would anyone risk that for 1 illegal vote?

Don't forget that if someone doesn't receive their ballot in the mail, there's a reasonable chance they'll try to vote in person instead, and that would be flagged as trying to vote twice. If that happened hundreds of times, it would be a good indication that mail-in ballots were being intercepted.

I'm sorry, how is knowing the sender relevant to this discussion?

Perhaps you receive mail winter's erroneously more often than most. I'll grant you this point.

So you have a blank ballot. How do you 1) obtain sometime else's highly sensitive personal information - necessary to fill out the ballot? 2) How do you know that person won't either request another ballot given they didn't receive the one they should have or vote in?

Doing either would be detected as fraud. You're fingerprints are on the ballot, you go to jail for 5-10 years.

Who's going to risk that for one vote? No one sane.

      It's a non-existent problem.

@holdem4884 If you don't know who the sender is you can't jail anyone for the crime even if you did somehow detect the duplicate vote.

Seeing as they moved likely to anther county or state its not so likely. Many States don't track duplicate registrations state wide and few if any bother to check with other states. I know for a fact there are at least 2 places i could vote if i wanted more than 1 vote.

I don't think they take duplicate voting seriously because soo many people would tend to cast their vote by mail forget about it and then show up later in person and cast it. So you would hear about people being prosecuted or denied voting all the time in every state if they did take it serous.

      1) Not soo hard to find the name and personal information depending on State requirement, when i voted absentee many years ago it was a joke in my state.

      2) Easily done via public voting records, they know if you've voted recently, they can also via limited effort most states don't take, find out if you left the state. Which almost garnetee they would not cast their vote.

I know you talk about federal offenses like they would be a great deterrence but not only do you have the identifying the sender issue, you also have the lack of LEOs to do that job issue.

The Feds can't enforce most of their domestic laws against individuals as they lack even a fraction of the resources required to control 330+ million people as well as the legitimate constitutional authority to make any such law in the first place. Our system only works so long as such domestic tasks remain the exclusive domain of the States who alone can be held accountable for abuses practically.

So people really are not afraid of Federal LEOs in such cases.

I don't think you can control guns in this country, there are already 450 million of them and counting and with the mic-manufacting revolution the ability to make more is becoming less and less challenging. Therefore the only path forward is to make using said guns less advantageous for the criminals who would missuse them.

We know this works well becase it wasn't more than 100 years ago that everyone had guns.

The fact that Towns in the old west could have gun free laws does not mean everyone didn't have guns. It simply means they were by local laws compelled to give them up temporary in some towns.

This of course proves 2 things we might agree on:
      A) Politicians even then were making silly laws that created new problems and they largely could not enforce. Although the small scale and use of civil enforcement meant they did a much better job than current governments.
      B) The 2nd amendment like the other parts of the Federal constitution which do not specifically refer to the States does not apply to the states (including towns).

Regardless criminals then did in fact keep their guns and people did in fact get shot regardless.

Republicans were not a liberal party 100 years ago. They had some liberal members going back further, like Theodore Roosevelt, but that party changed. During the 1920's they had a platform of opposition to the League of Nations, support for high tariffs, and promotion of business interests. Not Teddy Roosevelt's party.

They were so illiberal that Bob La Follette split from them to form the "Progressive Party" in 1924 with the goal of reversing the "combined power of the private monopoly system over the political and economic life of the American people", and he called for the outlawing of child labor, stronger laws to help labor unions, and protections for civil liberties.

Yes, all those moronic racist conservatives in the south "Dixiecrats" left the party after the Voting Rights (1963) and Civil Rights Act (1964) were passed.

Those ignorant racists became Republicans and STILL ARE to this day.

You're welcome for the free history lesson.

Right. Republicans can’t lose elections unless fraud was involved. You’re supposed to disregard the historical back and forth nature of our elections and swallow that nonsense. You’re a RINO or libtard if you don’t. Oh and proof of that fraud is not required. You’re to believe in it on faith value alone, like Santa Claus or the Loch Ness Monster.

It just seems funny that everyplace that has an endless election period with early and late voting, mail in ballots, ballot drop boxes and compromised or defective voting machines usually the democrat wins by a slim margin.

Solar cars? Really? Who is that stupid? I saw a video about a Hummer that Biden praised. It's electric and by GM. The guy plugged it into standard household voltage, and he did that on a Tuesday. The charger said the Hummer would be fully charged by Saturday. Yeah, those solar cars are just around the corner.

At the very least, nothing illegal was going on. I would argue that the fact that 39 states have made ballot harvesting legal is a bit of a problem along with mail in voting allowing more non-informed voters to make decisions for what the rest of the country has to go through.

That sounds right, yes. And in honor of the dems who claim to want things like inclusivity and equality, if you would lose trust in a Republican for this correct assumption, that will have include an equal ammount of trust lost in the politics of those who claimed the 2016 election was rigged. For equalitys sake.

There's a huge difference between those Democrats calling out unambiguous evidence of election interference conducted by another nation-state (Russia) and Republicans making up baseless claims of fraud WITHOUT evidence.

MOST importantly. The 2016 election occurred on 11/8/16. Hillary conceded to Trump on 11/9/16, THE NEXT DAY. Trump has never conceded.

I'm not a fan of Hillary but she acted with integrity and accepted defeat despite having won over 3 million more votes than Trump, Russian interference, and the highly controversial FBI comment just before the election.
