if the goal is for equality of outcome it won't work because even by eliminating the top 1% of elite greedy bastards, someone else will ultimately take their place.

history has shown us this. for example, due to the polygamous nature of men and the hypergamous nature of women, a very attractive man (usually a king, emperor, warlord etc) can get multiple women leaving many men single and as a result they band up and destroy that one attractive man but because we are all unique and different, someone else takes on that mantle and becomes the new attractive man and the cycle repeats itself.

that being said, I do believe there will be rioting coming soon as capitalism does eventually reach a limit. of course, we could get the free market decide and people can have their choice but if those choices include necessities i. e. food, water, then it becomes a problem.

Two reasons: first, they're lazy. Conditions in the first world, even in the worst places, are WAY better than how they've been for most of history, and they're just not bad enough to warrant drastic action. And going up against modern armies is pretty much suicide; things have to be damn bad to even TRY that.

Secondly, intelligence. More information is available to more people than ever before; by multiple orders of magnitude. History shows no shortage of revolutions that, even if they DID succeed, just made things worse. "Fuck the system" almost invariably ends in fucking yourself, even if you DO succeed.

They tried, and failed every time, because that's how the world works - someone needs to be on top and someone needs to be on the bottom.

In all the Revolutions of History, the lower classes almost never benefited from them - they got exploited by the middle classes to be cannon fodder to overthrow the current upper class; so said middle class could fill the place. Rinse and repeat.

They have many times. The only reason it may not be happing right now in your area is because people only start rioting when a certain amount of people start to reach that poverty. Which governments take into account aka why benefits and council houses exist.
