I hate to say it because I don’t want to be inflammatory, but I’m just very disgusted on a “soul” level but what constitutes current “conservative beliefs”, particular with social issues. It’s much more an issue of being anti-conservatism than pro-liberalism. I live by a basic broad premise of “inclusivity = good; exclusivity = bad”, with very few exceptions to that rule. None of it seems to be coming from a place of good faith. My dad watches FoxNews off the hook, so it’s not like “liberal media” is brainwashing me. To the contrary, I’m just casually walking by the television and just being genuinely appalled by what the personalities on there say, and the angle they seem to be coming from. It’s just gross, man, we shouldn’t behave this way towards one another.

I mean, I can roll my eyes when Lawrence O’Donnell is on MSNBC giddily saying “Every day for Donald Trump is worse than the one before it. He will have to somehow fall asleep tonight knowing all the mounting legal troubles he’s facing…”, that schadenfreude shit is corny. I strongly dislike Trump, but I don’t want to see him or any other human being in prison, I don’t like that conceptually. Freedom is an absolute guarantee of nature, I don’t believe humans have the right to allow it or take it away from any other human, regardless of their behavior. Frankly, I’d rather just see someone killed by a mob than someone imprisoned against their will. That just doesn’t sit right with me in my soul, it doesn’t make me feel safer or that “justice has been served”, that only exists within the mind of humans.

Bottom line: I follow my soul, and the depths of my soul tell me that what conservatives are currently angling for on a social level is something that I could never vote for and then look myself in the mirror and consider myself a good person after the fact. It’s not based on political propaganda from any side or any of that shit. I live, I look around, and I feel. That’s all I need to guide me.

I voted for democracy, and against authoritarianism... R's are clearly on a path to try and turn this into a one party state. They are nothing but a ball of grievance. They complain and complain and offer no solutions. They mainly want to GUT progams of public assistance (Social Security, Medicare) and long standing services such as USPS and public schools, going so far as to drum up ridiculous issues such as CRT (not taught in public schools) and claims that schools were allowing children to identify as cats to the point of placing litter boxes (absolute hogwash)
The Republican Party has devolved into a hateful monkey show that is aiming to destroy and restructure our society an authoritarian Christian theocracy under the control of oligarchs.
They roundly lost the midterms, took a couple days to wonder why, and now have ordered the organ grinder to start cranking again so that the hateful monkeys can commence the screaming and leaping about threateningly once again.
