Biden Vows to Veto Senate Decision to End Covid Emergency Resolution

The Senate voted to end the Covid National Emergency, 62-36 and Biden said he’d veto the resolution.

I guess he doesn’t want to lose those special “emergency” powers and authority he got to push people around during the “plandemic.”

National emergencies never end. They only get extended.

As much as I don't like Biden or the people who are actually controlling him, a president can't veto a resolution, only an actual bill passed by the House and Senate, and they can then vote to override the veto. If the president signs it instead, it becomes a law. The Senate or the House can pass a resolution, and if they both do, and the president signs it, it's a joint resolution. If the the president doesn't sign it, it's a concurrent resolution which is still in effect, but it's not vetoed.

Veto is one of the presidential powers and ALL president use it. That's their job. It's part of the balance of power and is intended to be that way.
