FINALLY. The Federal government already absolved them of any liability- in full fairness to Biden, there wasn't much he could do after Trump's idiotic "Warp Speed" efforts even if he wanted to; I doubt he would've, but he couldn't- but STATE governments are a different story. The complete bypassing of safety regulations should horrify ANYONE with even slightest knowledge of medical history; that the shots aren't killing people left and right is immaterial to that point. It's not like Thalidomide manufacturers wanted horribly deformed babies, either.

I can't say I'm surprised that it's DeSantis starting it up, but I am disappointed; that makes it far more likely that it'll be seen as a partisan move, rather than a logical one, or even a political-but-just-antifederalist one. Hopefully other governors, including some Democrats, come on board- but that relies on DeSantis actually DOING something. I like him, but I've been burned too many times to trust blindly, and I haven't forgotten his vetoing default shared custody in divorce cases, either.

Agree on principle, but it’s unlikely he can change anything meaningfully. SCOTUS would have to declare several acts unconstitutional to even give such a move any legal leverage. The left will never concede their ignorance, let alone their crimes, and the right doesn’t have enough control to do something on this scale without bipartisan support. 🤷🏼‍♂️
