I feel like I'm missing something, here.

It's my understanding that the law is prohibiting the use of NDAs, in order to reduce the possibility of sexual harassment being covered up.

Why would that make men leave the workforce? Because they're upset that they can't hide their harassment, anymore? That's... a really stupid thing to do, in my opinion. Maybe just don't harass women, instead?

Your second link specifically states that men without college degrees are leaving the workforce because they can't compete with college-educated degrees. Which has nothing to do with the law Biden signed, so I don't see the correlation.

Mind you, I'm not advocating for, or against, this particular law. I just don't understand the supposed correlation between the law, and men leaving the workforce.

This is exactly it. Also, considering USA has historic low unemployment I laugh at the very idea that "men are leaving the workforce". This is just someone trying to spin their narrative and doing it very poorly.

The trouble is everything and anything can be "harassment" today. The definition is soo broad it can be argued to include whatever you want. Including now even things you have to do as part of your job.

Every time I go to one of theses "Training" sessions I go away trembling at the utter impossibility of avoiding some of the new legal landmines.

You never know what might set someone off, the wrong tone, the wrong choice of words, the just the way you look at them. Anything can be seen as anything, and even if your not in the conversation you can be in legal jeperty under these laws simply because your around them.

That's why most of the time i go thou theses "Training sessions" i want to quit and find anther job right then they make the work place soo uncomfortable, stressful, and generally hostile. But there is no where to go Washington has forced this down everyone thoats.

Now even our company can't offer us any level of protection with NDA agreements.

No, I don't think this is part of the reason why men are leaving the workforce, but I do think the law is stupid, because it implies that all cases of "sexual harassment" are valid and truthful, and it would damage the company's brand if any lying female tried to discredit them for a quick payday. This would mean less companies would be willing to hire these kinds of women (say, young, upper middle class, white women) and it overall would hurt women in the long-term, more than anyone.

So I think this idiotic, dumbass bill would hurt more women than men. Companies are just going to hire less women to avoid getting falsely accused of sexual misconduct, especially with wokeness starting to be despised in society and dying down.

A half of percent over 40 years, is too little to be significant. Therefore, not a cause for concern. If it was ten percent or greater, that would be significant.

I tend to avoid working women, certainly don't go into a room with any of them alone.

You never know who your dealing with, or even who they might become a 10-20 years down the line when they can still claim something happen and be presumed correct without evidence.

The laws today make it extremely dangerous so you have to treat women at work like a risk limit your exposure as much as possible.

Hopefully you never give one the opportunity.

If you want to know why your disposable and not worth much look no further than the people they can replace you with overseas and newly imported.

There is a reason wages were going up (above inflation) and work place environment was improving after Donald Trump cut down on immigration and trade with poor countries.
