Why hasn't there been a socialist revolution in Britain, which has the largest worker population?

Largely good government and nationalism. After WW1 Britain was the last country with a monarch and aristocracy. This is for a reason. The were smarter than say the Russians, Germans, ottomans and Austro-Hungarians who ruled absolutely and very badly. The British Royals and aristocracy were only smarter in one area and that is putting smarter and more capable people in postions to make smart decisions on their behalf. So there was no communist or Fascist revolutions when very similar factors existed that might instigate this such as war, poverty, disease and a huge number of trained citizens baring arms like in Russia. There would have been no 1917 communist revolution in Russia only for the fact that the Russians armed and trained millions of the Russian peasants who were unhappy to begin with.

We executed a King during the Magna Carta and there indeed was a strong socialist movement during WWI bringing signficant and lasting changes to the workplace.

Perhaps we don't go as far as some because we like to side with the underdog?

Wales has the longest serving democratically elected left wing government on earth.

But while many in the UK lean left most don't lean that far (same to the right). Socialism tends to flare up as a response to abuse from capitalists. In the UK people have never really been pushed to that point.

We want a good that won’t tax the living life out of everyone.

We tend to go more for balance and we do have a lot more parties to pick form ( in theory).
