Yes, I agree a country should treat foreigners nicely but back then there wasn't no immigration laws in the ancient world, like we have now.

Moreover, most people don't have a problem with foreigners who are living in their country legally with proper documentation but they do have a problem with floods of illegals invading their land as they wish.

Indeed, very few do nowadays. The simple answer to the immigration question is that I totally agree with it. My mother is an immigrant, and my husband and I are very involved in the local immigrant community.
