Everytime I turn around it seems there is someone in America wanting to ban something. You don't like something, ok, let's ban it or ban certain people.
Do you think this ban thing is way overdone?

Yes, I remember when America was a free country. You were not coerced into thinking a certain way like you are now. If I was younger and just starting my career I imagine all the trouble I would be from pushing back against the democrat narrative. I would be the guy on the 6'oclock news fighting with the cops for calling out school committee members for teaching first graders about gay porn.

Yes. That is how the gov’t will slowly overtake everyone’s freedom. Taking things away slowly. These people who try to push it as well are merely helping the gov’t, not realizing what they’re doing. Over time things become the new norm. Like gas. Gas was maybe a dollar something when I was old enough to drive. Now it’s up to $3-4. They raise the prices so high people complain, then drop it down to where people accept it. So the mentality is oh well that’s better than $5. Which yes is true, but that echelon is just getting higher and higher. So we accept those gas prices as the new norm. They create new things, things that are so disastrous that we need to have a new law like the patriot act. Calling it a patriot act to make it seem more acceptable, the “American” thing to do. But if you oppose it then you support terrorism according to them. These things are designed by plan, people just to stupid or ignorant to realize it. All these so-called conspiracy theorist who people labeled as crazy aren’t so crazy anymore. Why do you think the media pushes so much division. That narrative is always pushed, especially between blacks and whites. I live in a city full of Native Americans as we have 22 tribes here, including my tribe. A lot of Hispanics, both legal and illegal, but you never really see that narrative pushed between cops and other races. At least no where near those two races. Everyone is too busy fighting w each other, the real villain is the one who is trying to demolish our country.

Not only that, but if something will never be illegal they try to get you in trouble in a legal way, such as getting social media giants to ban you, censor you, then say hey I thought you believed in businesses doing whatever and its not stopping your freedom of speech cause that only comes from the government.

So what if 95% of freedom of speech is done online, we are okay with you getting banned that way... cause you still have freedom of speech and we just want to silence you cause we don't like what you say or do.

So sure they try to outlaw things they don't want in the name of safety or better, like libs that think outlawing guns would stop mass killings.

When in reality, it would only increase the number of deaths, from guns no less. As we can't keep illegals out, gun trade is right there behind the drug trade.

Authoritarianism will inevitably creep into a democratic system given enough diversity. Once a population is sufficiently diverse, tribal affiliation begins to drive political action. When that happens, politics becomes a zero-sum game and an existential threat to all parties involved, so suppression and bans ensue. California is well past the point of no return in this.

@statyb yes, there is another GaG member who posed the question asking if Child Protective Services (CPS) should be banned. That is what was inspired my question here.
CPS has been in the USA for as long as I can remember. They are the county service you call when a child needs protection of any kind. Usually the parents are mistreating them and CPS is called by someone who witnesses this happening. Could be another family member, a neighbor, the child's school, etc.
Most of the time the children are removed from the house and put into foster care until the case goes in front of a law judge.
