Why do people want the government to provide free services but don't want to pay higher taxes for their services?

Wanting is meaningless. And not wanting doesn't change anything either. Most people want the govfucks to shove their immoral services up their ass, let alone asking for the money back.

Because inbreds will be inbreds and we think the morons in Africa are actually smart once and awhile…. Taxes scare people cause if you don’t got a true peoples champ in, where is the money going and are major corruption issues going to be solved.

Because they don't believe they are getting value for money, take my county council between 40-60% of all tax goes straight into staff pensions and not the service we are paying for, a tax rise year on year and service cuts year on year

People are unrealistic. They want a certain level of service but they don’t want to pay for it. It’s why our government runs a deficit each year. It’s not a sustainable path.

@SlothySlob Correct. If you talk about raising taxes, voters throw a fit. If you propose anything more than superficial cuts to government spending, they also throw a fit. In reality, our politicians are giving the people what they want, a government financed with borrowing.
