We are all familiar with the concept of human made global warming which helps explain why its in the 70s in Los Angeles. But at the same time, is human activity contributing to the freezing temperatures too?

Four wilfully ignorant answers already. There's no doubt it's affected by human activity, there are good explanations for why the cold air is escaping the Arctic more frequently because of it.

They won't bother looking at the evidence and science behind it because life is all about being edgy, not caring about other people dying, and owning "the libs", meaning these days anyone who cares if people die or accepts that science is the best way of discovering how the universe works.

But just because NASA scientists say something doesn't mean it's true. Maybe they just exaggerate human influence on the weather because its hard for our culture to grasp that some things such as the weather are outside the sphere human influence. Certainly the last ice age wasn't caused by man. Ancient man exaggerated the role gods played in shaping the weather. Maybe modern man has just replaced God with Man—the greatest thing in the world— but still continuing the same mistakes Ancient man made. Doesn't it seem irrational that human beings can simultaneously being making the weather warmer and colder at the same time? Like I said, it was 70 degrees in LA yesterday. And that allegedly is the result of human being releasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which creates a "greenhouse effect," which traps the sun's heat, leading to warming temperatures.

Maybe they don't. Maybe fossil fuel companies, who have known about the effects of their products for decades, have been putting forward "just asking the question" misinformation like that for just as long.

Yes, it does. So what you should do is look into the scientific explanations for it. (Those temperatures in LA aren't even historically high, but higher temperatures are getting more common.)

The temperatures have been like that for centuries! Why are you suggesting human activities may affect a situation that can easily be tracked for the past 150 years or so, with no difference in the temperatures! Hell, Hawaii is always 82o and usually has a breeze blowing daily, while the midwest is experiencing below zero temperatures, and windchill temps even colder in mid-January. How do you explain that? Human activity?
