There is no extreme centerism, its moderate politics, a blend of moderate Conservative and moderate Liberal/Progressive policies.

The US could do with a 3rd Centerist option for voters, as while there are significant Right wing and left wing people, the Centerist wouldn't rub either side the wrong way, as they avoid policies that are extreme.

No its not, Liberal left wing politics is by nature extreme in the seeking of change, while right wing Conservativism is extreme in the opposing way.

Centerist politics is generally middle ground, less controversial, more stable.

You only talk about world-view liberals, completely ignoring economical liberalism. There are a lot of liberals in Republican party, most of them are actually. There are also a lot of liberals in the Democratic party. The case is that the first ones are economicaly liberal, but not world-view liberal, while the other ones are not economically liberal, but are world-wiev liberal. The main cause of confusion is that you falsely believe that term "liberalism" only belongs to that second definition, which is not true.

This is an example of use of too broad definition. You say that "liberals are left wing", ignoring the fact, that there are liberals, that are right wing.

No I actually believe its more like a politicle circle, where right/left extremes are at one side, while Centerist/moderate is at the other side.

Not necessarily closer to each other in terms of views, but yes closer to each other in terms their extremism.
For example you could have a right wing extremist who will use or threaten violence as a fear tactic to force their will.
You could also have a left wing extremist who would do the same. I don't think their views will be the same.

Centrism is best defined as “standing in the middle of the road and getting run over from both sides.”

In extreme centrism, the individual will stay in that position. And/Or will be healed but return back to the same position on a different road or Position. or either worse
