Not really…when you upload your life to Facebook, right?

So we are doing fahrenheit to ourselves. No institution is in controle of that but so many people dont read literature anymore that actually educates them.
1984 we are closest to I would argue. People are so blended with their own reality that they actually want it. Also people dont understand freedom anymore so would they even realise in what reality they live in? As long as they have their gun and can shoot the 'others' they freely give away their life to a totalitarian state.
Brave new world I think is a bit farther away. Closest analogy I could find is the desensitization that porn can create. Or you could argue that their conditioning is what internet and social bubbles are doing to us.
Maybe you could go as far as saying, that you can see paralels between the end and going offline in our world, or you could find some similarities about their production of humans to our fooodchain but that is abstract thinking and I guess not what Huxley intended.
Oh hey, it's that time of the election cycle when leftys are completely ignoring domestic and foreign government agencies spying on us. Wonder how long till the right starts saying Snowden is a terrorist again.
Fuck I just realized I never read brave new world. Nor Fahrenheit 451 I will say we’re living in a mix of 1984 and tale of two cities. Ok start of the read list for this year. Thank you for recording books
