It's actually possible that Dem's could get together and both nominate and vote Liz Chaney for Speaker of the House since they view her as a "good Republican" that pro establishment and know she'd get enough Republican votes to win.

There's a zero percent chance of that happening. The Democrats (rightfully) treat collaborative RINOs like Cheney as useful idiots and discard them when their use expires. They will never elect someone with an R next to their name.
No Republican in Congress who expects to win their reelection would ever support her, either. Not even Crenshaw.
I don't understand why people keep floating these types of ideas. There is no support for Liz Cheney. There is no such thing as a "moderate" Republican in the House. 147 of them voted to overturn the election.
Their brand is to break the government and claim that we can only survive in a dictatorship.
That would wonderful. However, that won't happen since she is a republican and Kevin McCarthy is a liberal democrat that ran as a republican to elected and the democrats would rather have a democrat that is a republican in name only.
That would be scary. She isn't for the people either. She's trump obsessed.

They can't. She was not re-elected in 2022 and her term ends in days.
Actually you don't need to be a member of congress to become speaker of the house, so her term ending would have no effect on her eligibility to be speaker of the house. Good thing I said hypothetically, as it never happened and Kevin McCartney was elected speaker of the house.
This has been claimed, but it has never legally been tested. So far, every Speaker of the House has been a seated House of Representatives member of the majority party, and The House Minority Leader has been a seated member of the opposition party, usually the one with the most seniority, although there is no hard and fast rule for that either.

It wouldn't surprise me. The democrats are wholly corrupt.
So are republicans, both parties are equally corrupt.
Cheney isn't a republican.
She's a RINO just like Manchin is a DINO.
I believe she lost in the primary, so she is not even in congress, so I doubt it could happen
As an FYI, you don't have to be a member of congress to be speaker of the house., just have to be nominated and elected.
It wouldn’t happen
