They tried this a few times with Conservatives in the UK but the tories have had 3 female and one indian prime ministers and the current leader of the Conservative Party is a black woman called Kemi Badenoch so those tactics don't work and makes left wingers look pathetic.

In the US labeling everything as racist and sexist is rampet and quite effective. Democrats handed their nomination to Harris, who has a unlikeable personality and is the least popular VP in American history, and can't figure out why she lost, so are going with to many are racist and sexist. The concept of voting based on policy and qualifications doesn't exist to the extreme left.

If she was sane and fair they might actually vote for her. Old school republicans weren't hated. Modern politics spreads that. Trump likes angry people. They are easier to control and manipulate. Toss in a republican who dislikes trump and has clear and positive ideas for the country she might turn heads.
