Nope. Not true at all!
If you don't know how to drive a car, I'm pretty sure you're gonna mess it up some way.
If you don't know how to use a microwave oven, how long before someone puts a can of soup in it and fires it up. You can only guess what the result will be.
There are hundreds, if not thousands of things people CAN easily and quickly screw up, if they don't know. Surgery and flying a plane are a couple more serious things that just came to mind.

Even though they don't know your plans, it IS possible for someone to screw them up.
Example: in 1986, I wanted to buy a new Toyota car. This one wasn't available in my area, so the dealer had to go to a different regional area to trade one of theirs for the one I wanted. During that time Reagan had the dollar revalued against the Japanese Yen, costing me an additional $2000 for the car. That particular move didn't help me one bit!
