Why feminists are generally more unattractive as compared to normal women?

Not every feminist, but most of them either look like they don't purposely want to look good or they're actively trying to make themselves look bizarre or scary. Is it intentional? Part of the culture? Some guidelines? Or a side-effect?

Feminism began as a movement for women who didn’t naturally benefit from “the patriarchy” to gain some rights and privileges they would need in order to get through life without a man. Ugliness was definitely among the reasons for the marginalization of women. If you dig up early anti-feminism propaganda, you’ll find images that prove that. It’s not the only reason though. I won’t go into the others because that’s off topic.
Many modern feminists have opposing opinions on beauty standards. So they wouldn’t necessarily keep themselves in ways others, particularly men, might value.
Also, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

At best this is an anecdote and even if it is true (its not) I would argue that the social expectation that women needs to put in tons of work and money to look pretty is a very bad part of our society and if feminism helps them overcome this then all the better.
