Which is more likely to kill a human Pitbulls or German shepherds?

Personally I think German shepherds are More likely to kill a human because they are incredibly loyal if a two-year-old punches their dad which two year olds are likely to do because there 2 the German Shepherd Will attack and kill the child.

Pitbulls can attack and kill bad compared to German shepherds I feel like German shepherds of the more dangerous dog.

The reason I bring this up is because I hate this point about Pitbulls that a lot of the conservative commentators I listen to say that these dogs should be basically extinct and I say if you’re going to do that to Pitbulls you might as well do that to German Shepherd‘s as well. Personally I don’t think any dog should be eradicated off at the face of the earth except maybe Chihuahuas (joking about Chihuahuas). But between Pitbulls and German shepherds I swear to God German shepherds are more dangerous and I will die on this hill.

I’ve trained various forms of federally protected working dogs since the mid 90’s. I completely disagree with breed wide bans of any sort for any reason.

When dogs act out of character and training it (in my experience) has either been for medical reasons, poor breeding, or lack of proper training/socialization.

It has nothing to do with breeds (or mixes) themselves.

There are breeds such as Staffordshire terriers, Dobermans (and a few others) who have been going downhill with mental stability due to poor breeding. I have a lot of personal experience with this. All individual dogs I loved and a couple I have owned.

However if you look up on attorney dog bite websites the number one family biter in the US is the golden retriever. I do not believe this is the dogs fault either.

I believe in most cases it’s poor parenting and not teaching children to respect a dogs space and learning/notice the warning signs dogs give off before biting their children, or adults mistreating their dogs themselves.

I’ve jumped into the middle of countless dog fights in my line of work to wheelbarrow them apart. Even broke a few up by throwing a dogs back end over my shoulder while hauling the other to a door to break them apart when alone. (A medical reason was the cause in those cases) I’ve only ever been grazed by teeth which weren’t aimed at me.

A shepherd that has for some reason been trained specifically to kill, but that's extraordinarily rare as they are instead almost always trained primarily as drug or bomb sniffers by police rather than military, where a lethal takedown is not wanted. The military instead uses Belgian Malinois, but are again not trained or used for lethal takedowns.

Pitbulls are much more likely to actually kill someone on their own accord, and single-handedly outnumber the number of humans killed by dogs of every other breed combined.

I used to run early in the morning and I used to run by a house that had a pitbull chained up in the yard. He used to go nuts when I ran by. One morning the dog ripped the piece of trim off the side of the house that his chain was attached to. He ran down the street, chasing me while dragging an 8 foot 1X6 behind him. There was a little traffic so I tried to keep a car between me and the dog until I was able to get away but I think this dog would have tore me apart if he caught up with me.

I'll answer the question this way. How many Pitbulls have you seen as service and support dogs? Same question for German Shepherds? It all depends on how an individual dog is treated, and trained.

As far as emotional support dogs and convert dogs definitely seen more pits the German shepherd. As far as military dogs definitely more German shepherd

Statistically, pitbull breeds harm and kill more humans than german shepherds.
Hence why most pitbull breeds are banned

A German shepherd is more likely to kill a human because they’re bigger and stronger than a pit. The stats however show that you’re more likely to be attacked by a pit bull than by a GSD.
