Because the demand for racism VASTLY outstrips the current supply, some genius decided to take the Freudian route and claim that EVERYONE was racist, even if it was only subconscious. Some overly credulous people figured that sure, the only way there could be disparities in people's outcomes was if there was still serious racism at high levels of society and economics, and thereby the crowd of hucksters gained a permanent meal ticket, since artificially inflating one group is just going to drive others to outcompete them- and get angry when they're STILL punished for succeeding, creating some resentment, and eventually, genuine hatred.

Add in the inability of many people to grasp complexity and nuance, and you have the current situation.

Well that’s something that happened not too long ago and stuff like that happens. My mom was raped and threatened at gunpoint for the color of her skin, on two separate occasions.
My sister had her hair cut off and both my younger siblings were bullied when we went to a black school as kids.
As an adult I’m constantly hit with rederict about how I’m an evil white person. I’ve been harassed because of it and had a roommate try to get me arrested by saying lies. I heard her on the phone, “these saltines need to learn their place” I had to leave before her lies held ground. She was mad I wouldn’t lend her money even though I had less than her.
Are you delusional? You really think white people don’t deal with racism? It’s as real as it is for anyone else… just socially accepted and brushed under the rug by people like you.
