Is it normal that strong men get treated like objects?

I have been naturally strong since I was like 8. And at that point I was stronger than all my female teachers in my school. I have to say, it’s not as great as some people say it is.

Being strong may have some advantages, but being too strong, and especially looking too strong created social problems for me. People would get more angry at me for small mistakes. Use physical violence in response. Older kids would try to beat me up for small things. I was basically forced to play in all sports, would get shamed if I didn’t. Many people tended to see me as more like an object than a person. I am wondering if this is normal or just a rare experience I faced.
