Why do people say transphobia is the wrong word and that nobody is afraid of transgender people when clearly people are very afraid of us?

People are clearly afraid of us "tricking" men and "raping" women and "abusing" children. So yeah it's a fear.

Most people don’t know about the origins of the LGBT community, in particular the origins of the T part and the topic of gender identity.

The ideas that many people have about gender today come from the ideas of a psychologist called John Money, who believed that gender was a social construct rather than being biological. In order to try to prove his theory he did an experiment on a boy named Bruce Reimer, whose circumcision was botched, damaging his penis beyond repair. He convinced the parents to raise him as a girl and to convince him that he was one, while raising his twin brother as a boy. In these experiments, in order to reinforce this idea that he was a girl, John Money would have him and his brother simulate sex while clothed. Eventually he became suicidal, and then when he was told the truth he decided that he wanted to live as a boy and to never see John Money again. As an adult both of the twins killer themselves. Yet this is taught by pro-trans teachers in schools and universities as if the experiment was a success.

“Thinking Sex”, written by Gayle Rubin in the 1980s, is considered by many in the LGBT community to be the founding document of queer theory. Anybody can google this document and read it for free. In about 50% of that document she compared pedophiles, who she called “boy-lovers”, to gay men, as if discriminating against pedophiles was just as bad as discriminating against gay people. She’s also not the only one to make this argument, plenty of others have argued for the lowering of the age of consent all the way down to zero.

It’s the wrong word because a phobia is an irrational fear, but when you understand the above, you see case after case of trans-women in female prisons raping other inmates, and you see that they act in a sexual manner at supposedly family friendly events around children, it’s not an irrational fear.

Lots of people are afraid of what they don't comprehend, and half the world is made up of stupid people. What exactly are you hoping for? Do you want to wear a sign that says "I'm a trans-woman, been on hormones since I was 14, please don't fear me, I'm just a human like anyone else who wants to be accepted for what I am?"

People don't like thinking they're "phobic" about things because that means admitting your fear. What is it that you want, or expect?

Adam Graham is a convicted rapist. He's on trial now for raping another woman.  Now  he is claiming to be trans. Guess where he's being housed! With female inmates. Is their fear of him transphobia?

if people want to be afraid of someone they'll find a reason to be afraid of them

for example feminists had no issue supporting transgenders taking over women's sports but the moment they found lonely men were transitioning, they began to panic and started hating on transgenders.

Phobia is also used in terminology for “hatred”. Maybe deep down there a latent homo or trans fear, but comes across in hatred, uncaring, or passing laws that make their lives harder.
