Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yFirst of all most people aren’t scared of trans people, they just don’t like it. Or they have other reasons. Imagine in 30 years if the medical field said trans people were indeed sick, a mental illness so you were told to disregard everything you learned about what they originally thought was the reason people are trans. Would that be an easy thing for you to accept? To just disregard trans people’s feelings as well as them saying they felt they were really a man or woman trapped in the opposite sex’s body. Maybe not. But what I’m saying is a lot of us were taught certain things in life, that marriage was between men and women, etc, etc. You can’t expect everyone to like or think the way you do. People who really believe in the Bible have their reasons as well. Again you can’t expect them to accept everything. Many people say why can’t you just accept people for who they are. Sounds good and all but why can’t people accept others who don’t like trans people? It works both ways. Imagine 30 years from now the law permitted men or women to have sex w minors, would you accept that? I’m not saying I would don’t get it twisted, but there is a push for things like that. W the way society is going these days it wouldn’t surprise me if something like that did happen. People say love is love but when it comes to pedophiles then they retract that statement. I hope you get what I’m saying. Again I’m not promoting pedophilia, I’m against that no matter what.

They’re not scared of trans people, how can you be afraid of a trans person or a gay person? They’re not afraid they’re assh**es that’s all they are.

People are just nuts and need locking up, just because you get a handful of people who do horrible things to people doesn’t mean they’re all the same, I was abused by a woman but I don’t think all woman are the same, yes I’m more cautious now but I don’t hate all women I only hate her, people are just so dumb of late it’s just laughable. Well I’m not afraid of anyone in the LGBT community as long as you’re not hurting anyone and as long as you’re happy then you do you.

+1 ybecause some people think in black and white terms and this means according to them that you are stuck with the gender you are born with, however transgenders disproves that narrow minded thinking and now that you can change your sex and this implodes the idea of thinking in black and white terms that their supposed God made man and woman and you can't change anything God made. So those with a Conservative mind refuse to change their ways and so now they have to reevaluate their whole belief system and that just is too much work for a conservative mind who feel that God made the status quo for them and transgenders challenge their status quo comfort zone and so the threat must be eliminated because without the status quo, straight white men will never be at the top of the food chain and yes minority men are just as bigoted because they maybe black or latino or whatever minority but at least they are a man and to them men rule over women and if men can become women then this threatens their whole comfort zone of being at the top of the of the status quo classes with men at the top women at the botttom and gays and transgenders at the very bottom of straight "normal" people. So to sum things up, being transgender threatens the status quo caste system and with those who can't compete and who survive on being male as their only qualification to rule, transgender just implodes their narrow minded thinking.

+1 yBecause they've not been brainwashed into believing a man can be a woman, and vice versa. There's also something kinda repulsive about a man presenting as a woman, and ridiculous about a woman presenting herself as a man.
It's off putting to have social pressure into treating someone as something you don't believe they are, and if trans people are mentally ill enough to believe this people believe they're probably unstable, and apt to unpredictable behavior.

@ElizaPam Is it repulsive for a pedophile to molest kids? Is it repulsive for a psychopath to kill people and eat them? You seem to have this idea that you doing what you're inclined to do means you're "being true to yourself," and following your nature. You're not following your nature- take a look in the mirror and THAT is nature, THAT is God's creation, and for you to go against that to embrace a perverse lifestyle is both an affront to God, AND repulsive.

There's a gazillion reasons. Some include fear of the unknown. Changing norms. Things that are different. Some feel it challenges their own beliefs. Still others resent what they see as an agenda or forced adherence to beliefs. Sill others are upset at costs in healthcare or bathrooms in schools.
12 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Schizophrenia is a mental illness. But jimmy thinking that he should be a Jane and cut off his dick is acceptable…and in some states you can decide that before you can drive, drink, get a tattoo or vote or sign any form of contract…you think it’s ok for a little girl or boy to make that kind of life altering decision before they even know what they’re favorite color is?
10 ReplyOne reason some people act transphobic is because a transperson is Right leaning while they themself are hardcore leftists. For example, transwoman gaming journalist Sophia Narwitz is banned from Resetera, and liking her or her work is a banable offense there

Explain please
People are taught to hate. It is learned. Different colors , religions , sexual stuff. Example whites who hate Latinos, why? I like the ones I deal with all are nice. People assume since I am older and white I hate blacks NO NO NO! Or I am homophobic. Wrong again. Two of my very best friends are female and Bisexual ( 2 more are not as close). My best male friend is full blood Navajo and is twice the man I will ever be.
10 ReplyA better question would be why there are so many people who don't know what a phobia is (it's a fear of something, not a hatred).
