Google says negative emotions towards transgenders. In which case that would make me a transgender. I don't dislike them. They are free to do as they please. However I find it unnatural. I see photos of Nikita Dragun, looking like a plastic, over feminised porn star, who is a man. It gives me chills to see photos of her, yet she is a man.

I once read a story of a set of identical male twins. Their mother took them to the hospital for circumcision. One was performed correctly, one was a disaster, the penis was destroyed. The mother was distraught and sought a solution, have her son a female instead. He had a sex change operation as a toddler and was brought up as a little girl. She was never told the truth and throughout her life felt miserable as girl - something was not right. In her twenties her parents finally revealed the truth, her origination was as a male. She/he committed suicide soon after and the other twin followed. What does this show? It shows that gender runs deeper than your genitals, it runs deeper than breasts and shoulders.

From birth babies brains develop differently as male and female. Men have much faster reflexes, and more spatial awareness, women have better emotion reading capabilites - understanding the nuances of behaviour much better and picking up signals, whereas men need 3 times the brain power for this. These differences can seen from as early as 3 months old.

When you have a female brain, how can you want to be a man. And can a male wired brain want to be female? The only thing that can change this, is extremely high levels of testosterone and oestrogen, which humans are rarely exposed to. For example, athletes in old Germany, when Russia owned half of it used doping testosterone on the women to increase performance, and some of these athletes did undergo sex changes to become male after the testosterone completely altered their brains.

So in my opinion, there is only one thing that can determine your gender, the X or Y given to you from your father's sperm. And you can NEVER change that. It's that simple. I don't mind people who don't posses those qualities that are characteristic of their gender, it's okay to be androgynous and I do not hate on transgenders.

Put my overall opinion is that it's rather petty. You lust after the qualities the man/woman has on a material, physical basis. 'I'm a man and I like dolls, makeup and dresses.' Femininity on a materialistic level. That means nothing about what it means to be a woman and what real feminine behaviours are. I've seen men dressed up like women, breasts and all, and they still BEHAVE like men. Despite looking aggressively feminine, you cannot change the base qualities your brain possesses. They dance with their shoulders not their hips, they walk like men, they are more disagreeable, they don't posses the gentle sensitive qualities that women do.

On level with your soul, your genetic makeup, the core of what makes you, YOU! You can not ever change your gender.

The example you used about the twin boys was a bad example, as the boy had been forced to be something he wasn't. That's not what transgender is. That was a bad decision by a parent, and it was a medical experiment gone wrong. I don't fault transgender people for the way their brains are wired, nor do I think they are all some great anomaly. There are so many atypical chromosomal mutations, who is to say that transgender isn't the result of such a thing? Intersex children are a chromosomal anomaly, as are kids with Downs Syndrome. Could be a hormonal imbalance. Look at all the female athletes that possess a high level of testosterone and have been accused of doping and cheating to win their sports. You are entitled to your opinion, but I say that we don't know enough yet to judge these people. We only know what we think.

Probably lack of exposure to diversity and lack of empathy. These people in the comments kill me, as though one day, the Liberal Trans Gestapo will be coming to the door to make them change their gender. Maybe the inability to let people live their own lives without judgment or interference?

Thanks for MHO. There were something like 26 transgender killings last year, and not a word spoken about it on the news media. Most of them were black women. Transphobia may be a buzzword to some, but it is a serious thing for others. The more they are othered, the more their lives will be in danger of violence.

I want to find the correct word but probably misunderstanding. For some reason this person views trans people as X, Y and Z more often than not X, Y and Z are wildly exaggerated negative steretypes nearer to urban fictional legends than the facts. This fuels any hatred, put them in any social arena with a trans person or people and they will say I was wrong they are just normal people like me except they have an unique view the same way I have an unique view on life.
My main piece of comfort is that gays were being branded by the negative stereotypes A, B and C not so long ago but now our pretty much accepted. When I was younger in Ireland there was only one or two openly gays in an area (won't lie probably having to be very watchful against homophobia) but now today in 2020 Ireland it seems like literally every extended family has one or two relations who are openly gay. I myself have 3 gay cousins.
So not the ultimate piece of comfort but a comfort none the less, you are 19 by the time you are my age I bet trans will be a lot more mainstream.

Fear of anything different. There's a reason it's more common in right-wingers. Ironically, it seems to be one of those brain developmental things, just like being trans is. (Of course, the big problem is right-wing politicians needlessly stoking that fear for personal gain.)

"Using MRI, scientists from University College London have found that students who identify themselves as conservatives have a larger amygdala than self-described liberals. This brain structure is involved in emotion processing, and it's especially reactive to fearful stimuli."

No one is scared of trans people I don’t know anyone who is going to go hide in a corner cowering in fear and if they are they have more metal issues then the trans person.

here is the problem with trans theory, It’s destroys the definition of man a woman it also destroys the definition of gay and lesbian why you may ask? If gender is binary and we can switch our gender then there is no need for definitions of man or woman.

take the myths of the gender pay gap for example. If men really made 1 dollar to very women’s 78 cents then why wouldn’t women just call them selves a man they would get paid better right?

it also destroys the idea of rest of the LGB community. If you can change your gender then 2 people with dicks in a normal word would be considered gay. But with the idea the genders malleable then the guy getting the dick stuffed up his but would be the women so it’s not gay any more it’s regular sex. We have definitions for a reason if you want to destroy the definitions of man woman gay bilesbian go for it

Thinking trans people don't deserve the same rights as everyone else, refusing to use someone's chosen name and pronouns, intentionally hurting trans people specifically for being trans, intentionally putting trans people in dangerous situations with the intent of seeing them get hurt (like outing someone to their boss so they get fired), fetishizing trans people, intentionally misrepresenting trans people for ridicule/detraction, etc.
Besically if you are treating someome badly or disrespectfully or trying to harm them because they are trans, that's transphobic

Being afraid of either them or their affect on society. Both are irrational fears, and are usually expressed with anger and resentment rather than the stereotypical fear responses you see with claustrophobia or arachniphobia. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering.

From what I've seen on this site, men seem to be very afraid of and disgusted by transgender women. Their explanation is typically "I'm not gay". Regardless of how beautiful, sexy, feminine and sexually complete transgender women are, most men think of them as still men in disguise. They are disgusted by their attraction and arousal of women they think of as men. Thus transphobic is in many ways homophobic.

I think beating or bullying someone because they are trans makes you transphobic. Simply being against it does not.

    Same goes for being homophobic.

I do not agree with LGBT at all, but I will never cause someone harm because of who they choose to love or be.

If you mean you want the definition, dislike of or prejudice against transsexual or transgender people.

If you mean why people are that why, I think the media villianizes a lot of trans people, (like the whole bathroom thing) and misrepresents them as men dressing like women so they can go in female locker rooms, when it’s really a medical condition treated though gender reassignment. I think people also like to hate what they don’t understand.

Wait, the media villainizes trans people? In what world do you live in? They're glorified beyond belief and shoved down our throats.

If it's a medical condition, its "treatment" should completely terminate the problem but apparently it's doesn't and it never will, it's just an emotional band-aid for the "patients", which makes the whole "medical condition" illegitimate.

It's better to call it a medical condition as in a mental illness.

Well yeah it is interesting, "she" has valid points when it comes to everything liberal these days, how she dismisses them and calls them utterly stupid which I agree with and respect, she voted for Trump as well.

I'm not saying all trans people are stupid and should die, I'm saying it's just not a scientific thing to "transition your gender" and it shouldn't be seen that way because it doesn't make any sense, Blaire said it herself lol.

She had face surgeries and breast augumentation along with her hormone therapy, aka NOT natural, aka not biological, aka not medical or scientific.

I think it's when they hate people and are aggressive or violent towards them just because they are trans-gender/sexual. I'm not sure exactly because I've gotten different definitions from people when I've asked because I don't think the word makes sense, but this definition was the closest to being consistent so I'm gonna say this is right.

@goaded Even if I did, I wouldn't find such a thing important. It doesn't matter what gender you are, therefore wanting to change your gender is irrational. Being a woman isn't better than being a man or vice versa. To care about what gender you are is a waste of time. I am happy as what I am and I would be equally happy if I had been born male. It makes no difference ultimately.

No body mentions how thrans and the whole LGQT movement wanta to force their sexuality on the rest of us. Nor do they talk about the goal of sexualisizing kids. They want to sexualize children? Sweetie what about parents teasing their children over a crush at 5 years old, what about all the kissing and suggested actions you see in family movies from straight people, even the children who play get married and have kids and their parents are right there clapping them on. You can't say lgbt are forcing children to be sexualized when straight people have already done it.

@Randomawkwardness Yes I can say it, sweetie.

There is a segment in the LGBT community that has a specific goal of the legalization of pedophilia. Do you really think that when adult men transexuals ( or what ever they are) are encouraging little boys to dress up like little girls ( and their cucked parents to go along with it) there is no other purpose? They are not doing this to merely teach them about human reproduction -they are doing it because they have the ultimate goal of getting people to accept pedophilia.

Conservatives draw the line on what's morally and ethically acceptable in a society. There is no such thing as being transphobic. Who would ever be scared of a tranny? she's got no muscles from the hormone blockers and you can easily kick her in the balls.

According to actual science, transgender people are mentally ill.

It is a lot more difficult to understand and accept compared to someone being gay, lesbian or bisexual.

"Never start a friendship with them but i have nothing against them", Hate to break it to you but that's transphobic, sweetheart. If you weren't, you wouldn't have a problem associating with them. That's like saying "I don't wanna ever befriend a person of color, but i have nothing against them". By you choosing not befriending them because they're trans means you're transphobic. Simple. If they weren't trans is the only thing that is mentioned and will stop you from being friends with them. But there's hope for you bc i used to be the same way until i realized its only a big deal if i make it a big deal. You're missing out on some of the best, most genuine, kind hearted & creative individuals ever. Open your mind & your heart up, you'll be glad you did.

No, it has all to do with science. Science (neuroscience) is responsible for our daily processes and decisions. Sociology is the basic structure of a human society. But what makes a society successful? Differing ideas, diversity, opinions, behaviors, generalities which all do contribute to human instinct and behavioral/cognitive processes.

Letting them be who they want to be and not throwing a bitch fit when they want to use a bathroom or be out in society. You can think its weird or even disagree with them and not be transphobic, as long as you let them live their lives without harrassing them.
