Should I study law or medicine? They say that law graduates are unemployed because there are too many lawyers. What do you think? ?

It takes an insane amount of money to train a doctor, so the big barrier to getting certified is entry into med school; if you can make it in, you can probably pass the Boards. Law school is different: I'm not saying it's easy to be a lawyer, but the expenses involved in getting both the book and practical knowledge are WAY lower (smaller need for corpses, for one), and the big bar is, well, the Bar.

Consequently, I have NO problem believing we're overinundated with lawyers (as a society), and lacking in doctors. There are probably specific categories of law that are lacking people, though; specializing in one might still find you work. My sister was in family law briefly; the burnout rate there is horrendous because the work is so terribly demoralizing. I don't know if I'd recommend that, but it's an idea.

Actuary tables would say medicine would be the best industry. But nothing…nothing…can stop passion. If you like what you do, you’ll be fine.

So pick what a job you like.
