Am I being set up to fail at my new job?

I have excellent references , I’m seasoned. I have an excellent resume with long term employment. I was hired with two other people. I’ve been here 1 month. They have been given some really nice projects lots of nice projects. . The only projects I’ve been given are two projects that are half done And the projects are projects that are doomed/ literally/ and they will have to be closed and I documented why. Not to mention when I first started I was the only one that was given a closet for an office that was literally empty with a table

Nope. They're going to see if your resume was bullshit and if you are all talk. Or if you'll take one for the team.

Obviously, I am assuming you aren't talking out your ass, and really know your shit. Thus their task to you is to see if you can save the project, gracefully sink it , or phoenix it.

But a quick tip would be to talk to stakeholders and management at the earliest possible time with your concerns. Be emotionless, factual and neutral about everything. If they want to pin the projects onto you and run, then it should become apparent. But it may be they expect your honest analysis to steer the work and save what you can.

Well, I got the job from a person who is high up in the ranks. Like really high up who is my mentor. My supervisor didn’t choose me. I was chosen from high above , so do you have any insight? Because this supervisor has given me wrong information and because of my experience , I knew it was wrong
