Should I be worried I’m not going to make what I told I would at my new job?

I started today as a custodian for a school. It’s $8 if you stay at one school and $13 if you do two different schools a day. I don’t think whether you’re part or full time makes a difference but I could be wrong. Anyways I told them I could do the two different schools. I asked back in July and my new boss said I would be making $13. She said I would start work at 4 and it would be 8 hours but 36-40 a week. They told me when I first applied I would work 30 and and could work more it i wanted to. 30 works better with my schedule but I could do 36 so I told her what I was originally told but that 36 was fine. Anyways, she asked today if I would be working 5 or 6 hours. I plan to do 6 hours a day and I’m happy with this because ofc it’ll equal to 30, but she also said to begin with I’d be staying at one school cause it’s the biggest and they need help bad. Anyways; now I’m paranoid I won’t be making $13, but surely she would have said something? I’m going to ask tomorrow but can’t stop worrying cause ofc $8 is a BIG difference from 13, and I’m hoping I didn’t just get fucked over

There is a better way but it requires a complete reversal of everything you've been taught, and everything you thought you knew about money. In short, currently you see your job as a seed, and your pay as a harvest. But once you reverse how you see this and connect it back to where it truly originates... The Kingdom of God. Now in answer to your question, what matters is working while still being able to keep your health and have as much free time as possible. But this only makes sense once you understand the above. If none of the above makes sense, you're simply not ready for it and when you are, this knowledge will show itself to you once again.

You are stressing over something that you have no control over until tomorrow. There’s not much that can be done and you definitely won’t land another job within the night time, so I think what you should personally do is just not worry about this situation and let it play out tomorrow and see what happens.

Just try not to stress over things you can’t control. Definitely life advice I got as a kid growing up and it helped me a lot. Tomorrow is here and you will be able to talk to them regarding the pay

You have to get it in writing. Talk is talk. You must request to get it in writing or look somewhere else.
