Maybe partially true. But this has been going on for a couple of decades. Men don't know what their role is in society because the left / liberals have damaged so much of who we are naturally made to be. Men, by nature like to be masculine, the breadwinners, the protectors, etc. And women are the opposite, by nature. But the left / liberals have been pushing to reverse that. So men are dropping out of the workforce and don't know what do while women are joining the workforce because they are being told to. Eventually their biology will kick in and majority of those women will end depressed later in life.

it's no surprise really. those on the political right believe everyone can/should help themselves without the need for help from others and the political left only cares about women, minorities and LGBTQ and suppresses anything who doesn't fit into those categories thus what happens is men get up losing purpose in society

Going off the title, if true, it's entirely reasonable: you spend your whole life hearing about how you're an awful inhuman monster, burdened with the original sin of masculinity and NO possibility of absolution, constantly being told you're inherently in a position of power even when you're homeless, and that your mere presence threatens (or even endangers, if it's coming from conservatives) others, and women joke about killing all of you and get upset if you call them out on it. What would you EXPECT a person to do in that situation?

Its more that employers have a labour shortage and want jobs filled - but are refusing to pay fair wages so workers are simply staying out voluntarily until better opps appear. This is a good change overall as this is the push back against demand for jobs - is supply OF jobs. Its capitalism figuring itself out temporarily and correcting.

Ideally everyone has a comfortable lifestyle and everyone owns a little slice of each business generating value and no one works ever - but that likely won't be how this ends over time in north america based on how trends are going. Very hard to become a shareholder when you barely have enough to cover cost of living / debt as is. Its easy to become a shareholder if you start out with lots of excess or a leg up in life over time.

They have the freedom to do so, but I wonder how they are living if they aren't working? That is the secret I really want to know.

Others like @exitseven wants to know that secret too. We all need jobs to keep on living.

I would have to keep working regardless of any of these issues.

I do agree though that inflation is a big deal and wages are not keeping up, I just know that I do not have a choice to stop working and still keep on living.

There is some truth to how men are held to a much higher standard when it comes to “status” when it comes to getting respect from their peers and women. We are not special just for existing.

1) Anything that comes out of a gender/feminist studies department is a lie.

2) They don't want to address the real issue : discrimination and misandry against men and boys from kindergarden to employement make it difficult for men to find a job or to stay motivated.

What are we supposed to do? Too many people have bought the argument that a man should not be able to support his family by working a typical full time job.

I'm not buying the social status part. If they really cared about that, they would have stayed because dropping out pretty much drops the status to zero. No partner wants to date someone who refuses to work or look for a job.
