I am not saying it’s a good or bad thing , College is only really good if you have something lined up on what you really want to do for a career and you have connections to get into that line of work , college is only bad if you really don’t have connections , so many people have degrees that sadly can’t land them good paying jobs so it’s kind of useless and they are working at Low paying jobs trying to pay off that expensive student loan, A degree does give you more options to choose from but it isn’t guaranteed , So Skipping college
And going straight to work isn’t bad either, if you are a hands on hard worker and obtain experience hands on and have years of experience , Most companies want hands on workers that know what they are doing, over someone that just has a college degree that hasn’t really experienced the hands on part yet, that are starting from scratch pretty much just depending on what field they are going for , , in my opinion , people are better off going for a trade , obtaining experience as a electrician or a welder etc.. There is so much high demand for those trades that pay damn good money , Now if you just want to sit on your ass behind a computer then college is probably the best route for you to go unless you dedicate yourself to college for a lot of years to become a doctor or a lawyer etc. Me personally hated school , I was more a hands on person , I learn better hands on so I skipped college and got into a trade , my experience is what got me to where I am today and I am not complaining , But I am

No its not a bad thing that men are bypassing College/University as to day it is a hostile environment for them, where everything there is slanted in favour of women. also College/University has priced themselves out of consideration when you consider that a guy leaving school in the US can start with a company and begin training/apprenticeship and be on a decent wage immediately while learning to do those jobs, which will then lead to them outstripping what graduates will earn and they will be four years ahead on the corporate ladder, and they will be distance learning gaining qualifications that have more utility than College/University degrees.

I have no sympathy for women who have wedded to the Idea that any man they seriously date MUST have degrees, maybe its time that 'society' received a serious shake up so women realise that for most men women are not their primary concern, Men will do the dangerous jobs because they are a challenge and can earn serious money.

A girl in my school said you go to to college so you can work a job you love. Jobs like heavy lifting and cashiers do not require college education but most girls are not strong enough to dig trenches or labour on a farm so they go to college to find jobs where they can work with their hands and brains.

I didn't check the links. But what I do know is that too many people are going to college. Going straight to the workforce doesn't mean they are doing anything important. But going to college doesn't mean they are doing anything important either.

After COVID, lock downs, and essential vs non-essential jobs, it seems like people would have figured out that, for the most part, college educated people fall into the non-essential category, and the not college educated people fall into the essential category.

But for some reason, non-essential people have the status and wages, but essential people have low status and low wages.

So go to college, become overhead, and let someone working for 50 cents an hour do the work. You can't become a bean counter unless someone else grows the beans.

Most men are also seeing little value in further education. Most would prefer to work further in the trades for higher pay instead. Electricians and brickie's get paid more than doctors in some sectors and a lot less responsibility.

every job has the potential to make you a success in 5 years when they are finished with college if they finish they’ll have a degree, debt , entry level job experience and still won’t know what they want to do with their life because they spent the last 4 years in a college bubble

Yes. They should learn non-academic skills like construction (trade schools) and "IT" which is mostly self-taught by apprenticeship.
