Any executive who participates in decision-making that leads to hundreds or thousands of people losing their jobs should be the one leading them out the door - agree or disagree?

Agree, but I may be misunderstanding.

I think all the parties involved, should be leading them in the sense, of giving them other options to fall-back on. Other alternatives, or ensuring qualifying communication/ fore-notice, and a smooth dismissal.

All the decisions made, should benefit all members that were considered assets, and valued partners for a time. To that company.

Yes, I worked for a large tech company that had two bad quarters in a row and a lot of the people who made the company great in the first place were laid off. The CEO kept his job and probably helped himself to a nice fat bonus.

Letting people go is the most unpleasant part of an executive's job. But if there isn't enough income to retain all the staff, there just isn't.

They LOVE to let people go and use the extra money for stock buybacks to increase share prices.

No one I have every worked for wanted to have to dismiss their employees, but economic conditions left them no choice. I sounds like you are thinking of the consequences of leveraged buy-outs and mergers.

As much as it's distasteful, no. If that executive is carrying out what's required to run their company and meet fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders, no. We may not like it, it may be terrible, but they're making a business decision.

Wait until every thing is government owned, no more layoffs just mass executions and adding them to meat heap, ask too many questions and meat heap
