We can ban sales of gas-guzzling cars but the best policy would be a carbon tax offset by a reduction in income tax rates at the bottom. It's not possible to ban children from exceeding normal weight. What would you do? Drag them away from their parents to mandatory weight-loss camps? Who would that help?
There won't be a ban on gas driven cars. It will be done based on economics. They will tax the crap out of gasoline so its more cost effective to drive hybrid and electric cars.
