I actually thought it was pretty solid. My morning brain isn’t recalling the details, but I remember a moment where he kind of roped the Republicans in on something, like got them to agree on a pretty universal opinion, and then spun right around and was like “Great! So there shouldn’t be any problems passing my bill for…” whatever it was, and he just kind of dummied them on that same thing being the reason they were stymieing him.

Honestly, my biggest takeaway was watching McCarthy in the background, what he WOULDN’T clap for. Some of the things I was just like “why on EARTH would someone not support this?” “No more tax loopholes for bajillionaires who use this nation as a vehicle for growing their own wealth while giving little to nothing back other than whatever service their business provides, which again, is FOR-profit, and no increases for the “regular guy or gal” making less than $400k per year!” Republicans: “BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!” 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It wasn't nearly as bad as the last one, and the first few minutes (especially the joke aimed at McCarthy) were relatively good. As the meds began to wear off though, he devolved into the howling idiot that he usually is on stage, and lied almost constantly throughout the speech, oddly claiming a lot of Republican campaign talking points as his own agenda, which is clearly not reality. To be fair, he was attempting to read a speech someone else wrote for him, and probably dumps all knowledge of what he says or has said within a couple minutes.

Not that I would ever expect any president to ever admit otherwise, but saying that the state of the union is strong right now is laughable.

The first picture only tells half the story about the 30% sales tax (i thought Biden's tweet on that said it was 23%). The rest of that was there would be NO OTHER TAXES. If that's true, that sounds like that might be worth it. It could be even better if all food and health products are exempt but I'll take what I can get. Imagine keeping 100% of what you earn and that would be the end of the need to file your taxes.

This would also be an incentive for the government to not fuck around with the economy. If they want more moola, leave the economy alone and people will be able to afford to pay you.

What costs did Biden lower? Prices all around me have skyrocketed. Releasing the artificial strain on businesses because of a virus with a 99.9% survival rate doesn't count as you fixing anything, just removing something that never should have been there at all. Finally, no taxes hikes? How about lowering taxes or no taxes for working families?

I happened to tune in when he was trashing Trump and the Republicans. Those were just straight up lies. However, I strongly agree with him on cracking down on "Junk Taxes" and ending the ban of working two different jobs for the same agency/sector
