A few weeks ago I was asked to step down, I was tempted but I don't have a good relationship with steps.

When faced with a question I don't like to rush into an answer, I prefer to sleep on it and I've been sleeping a lot on this one. In that slumber I was visited by three ghosts of elections past, present and future who convinced me it's time to bow out gracefully and pass the torch to a black woman because that'll really piss off the far right and draw the spotlight away from the Trump Convention.

We all know that smug little shit Trump must be stopped at all cost and sacrifices have to be made. We have sacrificed so much, so many goats, so many children. Now I offer the greatest sacrifice, early retirement. Yes, yes, I know I've still got 30 more years in me but sacrifices have to be made.

It's been an honour serving as your princess and as I take early retirement from my duties to the United States of Ireland I thank the lord for leaving me with two good ears to listen with, two good nostrils to sniff you with and a full set of teeth to gobble you up.
