Do things exist when they arnt observed or perceived?

Philosophical question today. Is what we see and perspective our only reality and everything else doesn’t exist until we perceive it?

like an open world game for example. You can only perceive what you see and the rest of the world doesn’t exist until you turn to look at it. To save on power essentially.

Could this philosophy hold true to reality?

Something could exist without us perceiving it. As a simple example, other animals have heightened senses that make them aware of things that we aren't able detect. Before we knew of their ability to sense them we didn't know they could be perceived but we now know that they existed. Discoveries are being made all the time... astronomical, molecular, genetic, atomic, etc. Things that hadn't been observed or perceived before are now known to exist. So it stands to reason that many more things exist which have yet to be observed.

If no one observes or perceives it, the n a valid argument can be made that it doesn't exist. That doesn't mean, however, that a specific individual's reality is based solely on what they observe or perceive.

I have never observed a satellite in orbit, yet satellites in orbit are real, because others have observed them.

Nah that could never be true.
However what it is true is that there is no such thing as nothing something always exists whether we perceive it or not, even the notion of nothing is something, because to have that in your head would mean there is something that made you think there was nothing.

Yes, they do. We might consider it under the "Schrodinger's cat" point of view, as a state of both happening and not happening until someone witness it.
But simply put, yes, if something happens, it happens even if not observed.
A tree falling in a forest is falling, whether or not someone is there to see it.

You seem to have decided that the things you perceive exist. For a proper discussion, you need to first decide how you know that they exist. You have not, yet, established that anything exists.

Do you observe them?
In both cases, you need specialized devices to do that.

I think there are things that exist in the universe that we cannot perceive with our senses and current technology. Just because we cannot see tham yet does not mean they are not real.

Yes. If someone dies in another country, they're still dead. If Ford builds a car in Detroit, the car exists even if I'm not there. Etc.

For example, boat 2 pushed it. We did not observe or perceive boat 2, but its existence still impacted us.
