That's what populists used to be, like William Jennings Bryan. There was a time when certain segments of the population needed the help of government even though they were observant Baptists and Catholics.

A populist would be a mix of everything socially like me. Im Socially Libertarian and Liberal and Traditional to a degree.

I am conservative in my lifestyle but when it comes to voting I choose honesty and charity over economic advancement and licentiousness so I support liberalism in the United States and Conservatism in Canada.

They would mostly be Fiscally Left. But I guess they would be conservative on defense or social security.
