I don't think we will ever find the truth. A large part of evidence is gone. If it came from an animal, it has been eaten. The person who ate it is long gone. And witnesses might be gone too. We don't have the necessary info because China is not being transparent enough. Evidence that it leaked from a lab is growing. Apparently the "Conspiracy Theorists" were right... again! And I bet they will be right again in the future.

I think it was likely unintentional. You wouldn’t release it on your own people if you were attempting to weaponize the virus. Not knowing the details feeds into the conspiracy theories though.

I kinda doubt it. It seems like the Chinese didn't particularly care if the virus got out; they didn't do much to prevent it. I think they would have had the virus start spreading somewhere further from the lab it was made in, if the release was intentional.

Anything is possible. The US giving has experimented with such things in the past on US citizens. Its possible it was a trial run, I mean as pandemics go it was pretty mild, more people die of flu every year or diahorea in India.
