Read an account of that war that is actually factual. I goes back long before the US entry into it. The war had been going on with various participants It was one country that was divided by war, and then some nasty groups, like Russia, supported the North's attempts at retaking the South. That helped bring the US into the conflict.

There is some relevance and you have to ask, why was Russia influence peddling to USA and favoring Trump? That answer will fall on political lines... but we know how it ended up when he lost... a war. Could the war have been avoided and to a minor amount of loss in the East, if he'd won? We'll never know... but we are going to "reap what we've sown" in the path chosen.

The thing is - I'm not telling you anything about that because I don't have the facts. Everything about that is open for investigation and I'd welcome it. But you have to understand, and you should be able to, that Trump told upwards of 30,000 lies, exaggerations, misleads and flat out made up "facts" during his campaign, his Presidency, and post-Presidency. It's estimated that he lies, in some fashion, every single time he speaks publicly. So when THAT man cries about corruption, lies and scandals. you don't run to his side like he's on fire.
We'll see, and if it's true, Biden should be punished to the full extent of the law. But so should Trump, and it needs to be done.

We don't have a choice between perfect and awful, the choices most every time are bad. So, I tend to look at... what are the values that person can bring and what are the risks they impose. Which one can do better with less damage.
We won't see, the "die is cast". We should be determinig how many people will suffer in starvation, (1/3 Ukraine grain taken off line for a long time... not including loss of productivity globally due to fertilizer loss), what that means in terms of geo politics and social unrest, and how to manage the chaos.
There's some value in talking about whom is lying in the media, that needs cleaned up, we'd all be better for it.
I don't agree with what the current bunch does or says in policies, most of the time. So I choose the other side or independent. I say that from the local level on up, how they think I don't agree with, mostly.

The time may have existed to work something out, albeit any agreement likely temporary. They've fought and exchanged lands how many times over last 1000 years. This one is going to hurt the globe.
I couldn't tell you what success looks like at this point other than Russia worn out and gives up for another day. That will be very expensive and dangerous and it is what it is now. Thus, I don't complain that much anymore.
I remember the Steele dossier, but did not put much credence in it. As for allegations that Putin favored Trump over Hillary, that did not convince me of anything. But I often heard Trump talking about his buddy Putin and how he had close connections with Putin. As I said, that came directly from Trump.
I don't watch Fox Non-news. But I did hear and believe reports about the coming invasion of Russia into Ukraine, and that we were attempting to support Ukraine. Heard that from the left media.

It managed a single conviction of which the judge said he was convinced that the agent believed what he was saying was true. It also apparently quietly ignored evidence of financial crimes by Trump in Italy. It was an abuse of power by Barr and Trump.

They did mention a few good things worth looking into at the beginning. Mostly due to lack of information at the time. But as more info came out, most people could tell that they were going too far and something was wrong. I don't have cable and don't subscribe to anything that can give me access to the shows. I relied on other sources for clips. And I was skeptical. From my experience, prime time shows on all cable news networks are always the least credible. Probably because networks purposely put the most partisan and opinionated hosts during those hours. The credible shows air during low traffic hours. Makes sense because all these media sources care about ad revenue more than anything else. Anyway, I stay away from the shows and only browse the site which is much better. This would not have happened if Fox did not call the Arizona race before the AP. That was what triggered a lot of viewers to move away which caused Fox to panic the loss of viewers. So they stupidly switched their narrative to get those viewers back. None of this would have happened if Fox did not call that Arizona race. That was their biggest mistake.

Now now... you don't need to mention the "not literally" part. And no, I never said "all along". I said that they had good points worth looking into because a lot was unknown at the time. Just like the very beginning of the Trump collusion thing. As more information came out, it became more and more clear that both claims (collusion and voter fraud) was getting out of hand and driven by politics rather than rational. The left pushed their collusion narrative and the right pushed their voter fraud narrative. And the result from both ended up being false. No collusion and no voter fraud.

Even after the investigations had all been completed and found no problems he issued an "interim" report saying there were concerns with the election.
