Who can win to the war of Russia Ukraine and why?

Russia can't occupy and hold Ukraine even if they pulled a genius plan out of their ass and forced a formal surrender, so eventually they'd be forced to withdraw by insurgent activity.

Ukraine wouldn't even come close to fighting back through into Moscow to take the capitol.

Therefore, the only way the war feasibly ends is with a cease fire agreement, most likely with Russia retaining Crimea and Sevastopol, the rest being restored to Ukraine.

It's really hard to say. But my thought is that Putin is still fighting because he has to, even if deep down he doesn't really want to. And the reason why is that he most likely will be killed if he calls for peace or ultimately does lose, probably by his own men/oligarchs. So he's put himself in his own bad situation where the only option is for him to literally 'fight to the death.' Like a man forced to run on a treadmill at gunpoint even though he's running out of energy and his muscles are gonna give out on him.

Must be hard on Russian conscripts when they encounter Ukrainian soldiers in body armor and kevlar helmets meanwhile they are wearing tinpot helmets from ww2 and no body armor and ww2 weapons

Yeah there's blood in the water in regards to Russia. China will negotiate trade based on Chinese territory, India will make trade deals that takes advantage of Russian weakness m. All those countries that lived in fear of Russian aggression will grow bolder.

@Leopard23 Yeah like Moldova. Deep down I don't think that guy in Belarus even really wants to show that much allegiance to Putin. But the really bad part is even if Putin gets killed or steps down, there's gonna be a power vacuum, and you got that Pregozhin guy who's really horrible. And then that Kadyrov dude who might try to get in there.

To be honest, only Russia can win.

Anything the Americans have got involved in since the second world war, they have made worse. From Iraq to Afghanistan, Columbia to Korea.

Ukraine made a deal with the devil by letting NATO in. It will learn the hard way that the USA always leaves less than it finds...

Also Russia won't win this war by default. They may already have ten times the casualties as in the Soviet-Afghan war which lasted some 10 years, in a little over a year.

With Biden as president Russia because pussy biden won’t give them what they need to win. He only gives them just enough to keep the killing going. Ukraine cannot win in a prolonged war of attrition. They just don’t have the personnel or resources. Russia has no problem forcing slaves and convicts to the front lines

Russia sucks at Logistics and sucks even worse at combined arms aspects of warfare.

Well I think it’s still a draw at this point. But like Vietnam in the 70s…the fact that a supposed superpower can’t beat third world country…is evidence enough.

The US was supporting South Vietnam and didn't invade the North like we should have. Also if we'd stayed in South Vietnam the North would to have had to give up or there would barely have been a North Vietnamese left we'd already wiped the vietcong out in 68 and NVA had to be sent South.
