What should happen to Lindsay Clancy?

On the morning of January 24th, Clancy brought her eldest child to the pediatrician for an appointment. Later that day, she built a snowman with two of her kids in the backyard of their home, in Duxbury, a suburb of Boston; she texted pictures to her husband. Toward dinnertime, Clancy called in a takeout order from a nearby restaurant. Her husband drove from their house to pick up the food and also stopped by CVS, at one point calling Clancy to double-check which brand of pediatric laxative she had asked him to purchase. He was gone less than an hour, During that time, Clancy allegedly strangled her three children, ages five, three, and seven months, and then jumped from a top-floor window of the house, in an apparent suicide attempt. Clancy was arraigned on murder and assault charges from her Boston hospital bed on February 7th. Her attorney cited overmedication, postpartum depression, and the “possibility of postpartum psychosis” as potential mitigating factors in her defense. Her next court appearance is in May 2023.

If in fact she has or had Postpartum Psychosis, would that change the minds of those of you that want to kill her?

This happened pretty close to me. By Ll accounts she was a good mother. She worked as a nurse and worked mostly with babies. She had been seeing a doctor so that suggests that she knew something was wrong. However, she purposely sent the husband to the next town to get takeout so she would have the time to kill the kids. It was premeditated. I am truly at a loss over what kind of punishment she should get

As am I. This was a very ill woman who didn't get appropriate or effective treatment, unfortunately. That said - I cannot completely get past the pictures of the now-dead children. Putting her in prison just makes it all worse and there really is no punishment that makes any sense or helps.

Postpardum psychosis and the youngest child was three? I don't buy that. As a mother, I can't wrap my head around this. I can't say what should happen to her, any answer I give would be an emotional response.

If she doesn't get the death penalty she should spend the rest of her life in jail.
